Fox cuts LL Cool J segment from Palin's New Show
Edited on Wed Mar-31-10 11:01 AM by Clio the Leo
Yay!!! A small victory against Fox, but I'll take it!

A Fox News spokesperson responds that they are cutting the LL Cool J interview from the Palin:

"Real American Stories" features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.

Funny that they felt the need bash his acting career in the process. CLEARLY they do not remember the great LL Cool J v. Kool Moe D rap battles of the 80s lol. I have the impression that Fox doesn't understand who they are dealing with. ;)

2. "a program that could serve as an inspiration to others" - cute
It could be a lot of things. It won't do any of them, but it could.

5. Looks like Fox is pissed
According to them, LL Cool J "does not want to be associated with a program that could be an inspiration to others," and his career is "fledgling" (even though he's a major co-star on a hit NCIS spinoff series). Since he blew the whistle on their phony promo for the show, he's now persona non grata. Surprise, surprise!

6. "fledgling acting career"
I'm sure the snarky conservative writer of that little tidbit would fucking DIE to have a career like LL Cool J.

Dear Fox news Douchebag:

"You're the kind of guy who gets suspicious
I'm the kinda guy who says 'Puddin' is delicious."

afaic. As to his acting career..he's doing an awesome job on NCIS LA. We(the audience/his fans B-))couldn't be happier with him. The writing and the acting is stellar.

And, palin's interviewing..the hatemonger who incites violence? Meanwhile the teahadists are threatening Rep Grayson's 5 year old son?!!

10. Haha
He is *way* more of a star than Palin. That's why the execs were trying to hook *their* star to him. I'm glad he protested. Judging by his interviews, he certainly doesn't approve of Fox, Palin or the GOP.

And Toby Keith?!?! haha

Maybe she could invite Victoria Jackson. Could you imagine those two brainiacs doing a segment?

17. Fox doesn't care
they only time they want black people on camera is to cover their racism, or show off their "cool school" credentials. A visit to imdb.com will show that Mr. Smith HARDLY has a fledgling acting career. For the racists at Fox, black people don't matter unless they serve the network, or are in sports uniforms. :eyes:

Bunch of damned racists. :grr:

22. "fledgling acting career" - his acting career has way more substance that Palin's politcal career
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005112/

He's been acting solidly since 1991 including 2 major TV Series (5 years with "In the House" and a spinoff of long running NCIS). He's also had major roles in over 2 dozen major movies.

30. Fledgling acting career?!?!?
Cool J has an ongoing, long term acting career. He's an actor, no modifiers needed at all. First major film role was in 1992, you do the math. That word 'fledgling' is a racist thing when applied to a man who has been at the job for 18 freaking years, working hard the whole time. Wow.

31. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. They just simply cannot refrain from being assholes. Seriously, just apologize
with a modicum of sincerity. The "fledgling acting career" line completely erases any positive of the statement.

I don't even watch LL's show but I might just do it now.
