Heh, just lost a FB acquaintance over challenging a political bs thingie

He posted a 15+ yr old screed, replacing the relevant part with "Obama" and "Remember, there is a mid-term election in 2010!" When I posted the snopes link, was deleted, told he didn't know or care about HCR or student loan stuff and that it "wasn't political".

Too bad I have such anger issues, isn't it?

2. I lost one for calling a thread he was in racist.

It was about Kanye West, and people were posting things like "Someone needs to whip that boy." I pointed out the racist connotations of that, and he dumped me. He actually waited a few days, then dumped me just before posting a lot of angry anti-Obama stuff (another friend informed me of the posts), so it was sort of a pre-emptive strike based on recent actions. :)

Wouldn't have mattered much. I had made up my mind to sever ties already, he just beat me to it. This is a high school friend and a college roommate I was very close to for a long time. Really sad how he turned out.
