Mother blames victim

Somehow, I knew this would happen. Disgusting. Some people have no shame.

Edited for clarity

1. I wonder if this mother is a bully? Probably a bully in high school too.

3. Well, we see the mother is acting with as little wisdom and good judgement as
her daughter.

She also should not be opening her mouth at all with her daughter charged with a crime, of if she opens her mouth, she should be offering condolences only to the family of the victim.

Mother is obviously a not too bright bulb on the Christmas tree.

4. If she has no brains and no heart, she should at least find a lawyer and a PR person.

They could have taught her how to fake it.

5. This is why this is going to be a very difficult case to prosecute
The "They started it" defense may actually work in a courtroom like it works in the principal's office.

15. Oh somehow after reading about how the suicide wasn't enough for them
so they attacked her Facebook memorial site I doubt people are going to buy into the "my daughter is such a good girl" crap. They showed no mercy and now show no remorse, hopefully the judge gives them the max.

8. The Mother Is Probably Defending
her abuse of her daughter. You have to have a license to drive a car but any idiot can have a child.

9. How often do the family members of someone accused of a
crime ever say "Yes, my son/daughter/husband/wife is a lousy human being and I think they probably did commit the crime for which they are accused"?

I hope the mother's little spawn does some time AND loses the civil suit.

10. I hope the judge recognizes this influence on her daughter.

And I hope he/she deals with it appropriately and makes the mother accountable too.

14. My school district saw 18 middle school teachers resign after a girl
Edited on Wed Mar-31-10 07:23 PM by jotsy
was attacked during school hours in the hallway by 5 other girls. These girls had apparently making trouble all year, yet teachers had orders from administrators to keep their classroom doors closed and not to leave the room, regardless of what they heard. The victim required a series of operations to repair the damage to her face. When the story hit local newspapers, parents of three of those bullies posted public comments on one paper's website, complaining about how their own children were now marked as bad kids, because they were going to have records and be ordered to pay restitution. This was a few years ago, but I still live in the same district, and my youngest is in attendance at that school.

Yes, I worry every day. She is a cheerful and exuberant fresh teenybopper who doesn't understand meanness in any way.
