A caller to C-Span this morning, who identified himself as a Republican from North Carolina, accused the network of taking too many phone calls from black people.

"You have black folks calling in on the Republican line, independents. And you have so many of 'em I can't believe this is just an accident. If you keep on with the way you've been programming, you should change your name from C-Span to black-span," he said. "I know they have an opinion but I wish that they would be honest and call in on the right line."

I was born in S.C. It's roots are deep in slavery and racism. This attitude is hard to kill.
I moved away from there when I became of age to get away from it. I'm Caucasian. I loved MLK
and I followed the marches as I grew up. I had my share of fights because of my beliefs.
It is such a shame that something as evil as racism is still alive today in this country.

However I do hate when people misrepresent themselves on C-Span and then go on to rip the side they ostensibly purport to favor. Folks on the left and right do it. It's annoying and just stupid.
