As a patriot of the United States of America, and as a Bostonian
I WANT OUR TEA PARTY back!!!!

Anyone with me? The assholes on the right have taken a proud moment in the American Revolution, and twisted it to their purposes. And as a proud Bostonian, I want it back.

A petition?
A state initiative in Massachusetts to make the real Tea Party date a state holiday?
An open letter in some expensive, country-wide newspaper?
A Facebook group or page telling the lot of them that they aren't REAL Tea Party participants? (BTW, the historical Tea Party participants all wore masks or disguises, because it was still a Crown territory, and they could have all been locked up or executed)

Any suggestions? We need to shoot these jerks down now, and make it clear that no, Sarah Palin, you are NOT a member of the Tea Party, just a shrill shill for rich men and deluded poor people.

Can anyone give it some thought?

2. They'd probably be gobsmacked
to hear that it was an act of protest against the monopoly tactics of the mother of all Corporations, the East India Company, and its strong support from the British Government. Huh, imagine that, a government propping up corporate interests. Funny how we use to protest those things. Now we either shut our mouths, look the other way, or become a corporate owned and manipulated teabagger idiot.

3. Ironically...
Way before 'these' tea partiers, I suggested that the Gay people re-enact the Boston Tea Party to protest not being able to get married.

I've always wondered if someone saw my suggestion & ripped it off.

4. Anyone willing to investigate the facts of history
will find that today's Baggers have zero relation to their revolutionary namesakes. The circumstances aren't the same, the issues arent the same, the people arent the same.

5. Hey, they "Bag" and we "Party"
Hey, I have Boston roots in my family line too and I always hope I would have those kind of guts.
These Baggy people are so un-clear on the original concept, it boggles the mind!!
