First LL Cool J and now Toby Keith slams Fox News and Palin's new hosting show
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/20100331/ts_ynews/ynews_ts1387

Update: Looks like the confusion isn't limited to the hip hop genre. Toby Keith's publicist tells the New York Times that Keith has never done an interview with Palin and she had no idea he was being used in the Palin special. She believes that Fox will be recycling an interview Keith gave Fox in 2009.

So Palin is hosting a show where she doesn't really do anything but introduce old Faux News interviews and claim them as her own. I mean it was funny when LL Cool J blasted her but hell Toby Keith is a conservative darhling and even his camp is questioning the interviews. Did Sarh think she'd get away with this. I'm guessing Palin's show on Discovery will be old film clips of Alaska with her introducing the clips.

3. know what would be funny? It was discovered a voice-double was doing voice-overs
for Palin's introductions cause she couldn't even manage that.

5. Why didn't they just present the show for what it was?
Edited on Thu Apr-01-10 08:50 AM by rocktivity
There's nothing wrong with someone guest-introducing a series of interviews Fox had done earlier. And while they may have exclusive rights to show the footage, giving the subjects advance notice simply would have been a professional courtesy.

6. Who in the hell is producing this crap?
I don't understand paying Palin for work that other people have already done. WHO made these ridiculous decisions in the first place and what do the original interviewers have to say about this?

7. What you actually thought fixed news was crazy enough to actually let Palin
speak to other people? Fixed news is crazy but not that crazy, they know what Palins like standing behind a lectern giving a speech, they also know what comes out of her mouth when interviewing or being interviewed, fixed news worked hard to build the Palin image they aren't going to risk Palin actually talking to folks and screw up her image. They wouldn't be able to blame Palins fall on liberals if they did that.

9. Toby Keith is a conservative Democrat who voted for Obama
He may be a conservative darling, but he has never been a Republican. I guess Fox is so stupid that they thought he was a Republican who'd be cool with this.

Although that remains to be seen - I hear what his "publicist" says about not being told about this use of the interview, but I don't see them pulling it like LL Cool J. Or even saying they disapprove - merely that they didn't "know." We'll see.
