Obama and Dems are making comeback in Ohio accoring to Q-Poll
A new Quinnipiac poll finds that independents in Ohio are beginning to move into the D column, erasing some poor polling numbers from earlier this year. From the latest Q-poll (MoE +/- 2.5):

Democrats are having a mini-surge in Ohio as two possible candidates for the open U.S. Senate seat have come from behind to pass the Republican contender, and Gov. Ted Strickland remains ahead of Republican challenger John Kasich, 43 - 38 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

And President Barack Obama's job approval is up from a negative 44 - 52 percent February 23 to an almost even 47 - 48 percent today, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe- ack) University poll finds.

1. See, This Is What I've Been Saying For MONTHS
I don't care what the polls say a year before the election. When the rubber hits the road, whoever becomes the Senate nominee (Lee Fisher or Jennifer Brunner) will mop the floor with that toolbox Portman. I also believe that people will vote to re-elect Ted Strickland once he finally starts to get his message out there and lets everyone know that the hard times are directly the result of decades of irresponsible governance by Ohio Republicans. The problem Strickland is going to have is the fact that John Kasich comes to town selling the fairy tale of "No More State Income Tax." Anyone with half a brain knows he can't possibly deliver on that promise, which at the end of the day, is why Republicans believe him.

Another lesson to be learned from all this: as Howard Dean said a few weeks ago, Americans admire strength. The polls are going to be surging upward for the Democrats right now because Americans are reacting to them getting Health Care passed. They have to keep this momentum going. Show the American public that Democrats actually have a spine and the "2010 bloodbath" the Republicans are predicting will NEVER HAPPEN.
