Do you really understand what this President is up against?

Not in my life time have i experienced the hatred directed toward a president. 91 to 93% of the airways are filled with rightwing hate talk. 14 states sueing. Massive amount of unabashed shameful lies throughout the whole spectrum. Congress people inciting revolution, secession and violence, people spitting on congress people, calling them niggers, faggots and wetbacks. A republican congress voting No on everything this president want, Calling the president "you lie" on the floor of congress right in his face. A republican congress filibustering more times then this country has seen in history. A congress holding up nominees, over 280 bills sent by congress to the senate sitting there. Congress person calling another on the floor in his face "baby killer".

...............................

We have had democrat leaders offices vandalized, their gas lines cut, their children lives threatened.

We just had 9 freaks planning for a revolution against the government.

We had our president having to travel to the states of Democrats to get them to vote for HCR.

We have blue dogs (really republicans) who could have made it much easier for the president, vote no on HCR.

We have republican flip flopping, flopping lying out of their asses, with no shame what so ever.

...............................

And he is up against us.....................

........................

Finally, what are we doing? Are we confronting these teabaggers? Or do we choose to simply let the president carry all of the weight on his shoulders. And set back criticize, write more letters and send more e-mails or unsubscibe?

................

a little humble pie, IMHO, kpete

9. Bloomberg 3-25-10 Obama Approval among Democrats: 85%
Surely some of those 85% worked as hard as you in 2008.

It is important to realize DU is a bubble.

The mistake the Teabaggers make is to ASSUME they are the Majority, when they aren't.

We don't want to make the same mistake.

The guy is pissing me off on some things, but I recognized he was a slightly left of center pragmatist in 2008.

11. You must have missed the impact of Dems rolling over and letting Bushco
steal the election...THAT's what i remember, while all the repukes were up in arms, the Dems in the Senate and the House sat idly by and let them. Don't blame that crap on Nader (whom I did not vote for and who is a twit).

12. Just saw on MSNBC's "The Ed Show" yesterday, that 91% of
political radio talk shows are owned by conservatives, who never allow progressives
any air-time at all. Ed's question of the day was, if his listeners thought congress
should enact laws to make the air-time more equal. 77% voted yes, 23% voted no.

This is one way how the conservative minority manage to enforce their will on the
progressive majority. They succeed in fooling the American public with their
lies, and too many of us don't even know that we are being lied to.

21. Exactly...why do you think the RW was squeeling like pigs...
When there was talk of reinstating a fairness doctrine- type of law back a few months ago. Because theu know how important it is to the rw propoganda machime to have a monopoly of the airwaves. If they really had to compete against dissenting voices, they would lose.

for a young, good looking white guy like Jack Kennedy but there sure was. Crazy, spittle flecked hatred. Just like now.

19. The depressing thing is that ALL Americans should be in the streets
demanding accountability, an end to the endless wars and an end to the hijacking of our government by corporate interests.

The teabaggers are simply covering the fact that Obama is governing like it is GW Bush's 3rd term.
