I'm just not there yet. The 2008 election, the primary and the general, left me exhausted and drained, and I am still not feeling the batteries recharged yet. I'm not there yet. I'm not paying any attention to it, I don't even know who is running, and I can't say that I have any interest--yet.

I'll vote, but right now the whole thing seems long and far off. I'm not thinking about it.

3. It is 7 months until the midterm.
It is 17 months since November 2008.

I look forward to performing my civic duty and watching the races that affect me.

5. I'm depressed thinking about it, with all the pundits saying we will lose big time. rop
It's just impossible for me to understand how people can be so ready to turn control over to the Republican party again after Bush.

I've seen surveys/polls that have basically said Palin will win the Presidency if the election were held today.

WTF is wrong with our country? Are we really that stupid and hopeless?

I feel so frustrated and hopeless. Of course I will vote, but I have a terrible feeling we are going back under R control (including Palin as President) and I can't help but think that will mean a remake of Hitler's Germany. Or worse, although it's hard to imagine worse.

I thought for sure we'd get a bump from passing HCR. But, no. Polls still show us slipping lower and lower. Argh!
