1. 85% percent of the public is exempt
Edited on Fri Apr-02-10 10:48 PM by veganlush
85% percent, including those you mentioned, already have insurance. "If you like your insurance and your doctor, you can keep them". "exempt " doesn't make any sense in that context. The only people that you could say are not exempt would be those who are compelled to comply with the individual mandate.

4. The president and congress enjoy government-run single-payer health care
Edited on Fri Apr-02-10 11:42 PM by Mister Ed
When I get an RW e-mail asking "How come Obama and the congress won't exchange their health care plan for the health care they're pushing on us?", I write back to the sender and say, "That health care plan that the politicians won't give up is a government-run, single-payer plan. Maybe we should demand that we get something as good as what they've got."

8. I figured and I did do a half-assed search but I suck at searching too.
I know it's a trolling technique too - that's why I didn't post the stupid picture or text.
DU is often faster and more specific than snopes or the google!
forgive?

6. Congress will have to use the same exchanges we peasants do
in four years.

That's probably the main reason the Republicans are so pissy about it, they're not going to be special any more.

9. The Media Matters link is great --
but sometimes a bonehead will assume any source with liberal leanings is false.

I present to you the last bullet-point in this Snopes entry:
