"We stand where we stand." RW pundits and politicians using that line. |
|
And I'm really fucking tired of hearing that! I've heard Hannity, Pat Buchanan and even John McCain use that phrase when talking about the clusterfuck in Iraq. Its like they are wiping the slate clean and dealing with the Iraq situation as it is right now. So lets not use hindsight and the reality of how we got into this mess. "We stand where we stand.". so dint bring up the past. We cant let THEM get away with saying shit like this. THEY got us into this horrible mess. THEY lied to get us into this mess. THEY are doing all that they can to keep the status quo in Iraq. Now THEY want us to not bring up the past and just deal with the present day?
We cant let them slide when they use such language.

and won't budge. They think that this will translate into support when people get all swoony and woody at such courage. Bullshit! These weak-kneed lily-livered couch-warriors have nothing! But I wish the democrats would make similar statements. We need the Democrats to not budge an inch on the appropriations bill. If El-Presidente doesn't want to set time-tables, then he gets no bill! Hell, the next bill should have shorter time-tables and the next shorter, so that if Bush keeps vetoing, the war will be automatically de-funded...

12. I love how Bushler's fuckups are, by their very severity (which ought to result in his impeachment ) |

are used instead by the Nazis and their media enablers as an excuse for why Bush must be given FURTHER free hand to fuck up for 2 years more..."Hey, he's dug us in this deep -by Gum he'll bury us the rest of the way! Of course I support my President, and so should you : if he can't bury us all the way, nobody can!"
Gee, I wish my mistakes were big enough so everyone around me said that I had to be shielded from all criticisms and given an extended ability to make even more mistakes. That would be highly convenient, a real boost for my quality of life, and a nice, neat trick indeed. But I suppose you have to be holding 140,000+ soldiers lives hostage, the way Bushler is doing, in order to actually pull it off.
It's like they're saying Wellll it's true that Stalingrad didn't work out too well for us, BUT YA GOTTA STAND BY THE FUHRER NOW MORE THAN EVER! I mean if you don't stand by the Fuhrer NOW when the chips are down, what KIND of Nazi are you??? (Never mind that the falling chips, and the blunders, and the crimes all originate in the crooked soul and mental infirmity of your head of state, just keep reaffirming your commitment to his "leadership" and "vision"...y'know put on a unified front "for the sake of the troops", the kids that he's slaughtering.)
