Poll question: Second "Please chose 1 from the list below" poll |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-04-10 07:57 AM by ThomWV
No matter if you receive broadcast, cable, or satellite TV or broadcast or satellite radio which of these two offers the largest number of News and opinion sources? In some rural areas there are few radio stations, but satellite television makes many TV channels available, in some urban areas radio stations far outnumber broadcast TV.

2. You left out an option that might be worthwhile |
|
But then, you are comparing two sources, so it may not matter.
"I don't let corporate media influence me by whispering sweet nothings into my ear, therefore, my access to news and information is not at all constricted to, nor reliant upon those heavily propagandized, edited and biased outlets."
Well, there was no option for me to chose that applies ;)

5. Thanks to the digital conversion, I don't get any TV anymore. |
|
I listen to NPR on the radio, and watch DVDs on my TV. I also read the newpaper.
Not sure what the point of your poll is.

6. Given 90 plus % is RETHUG conservative crap... |
|
I really couldn't answer. I know both are loaded, so I don't have cable and I don't listen to anything on terrestrial radio, except for NPR on occasion.

7. What about the internet? |
|
I only have local channels.
We cut our cable off months ago and I don't really miss it.
My parents just got back from a vacation and they said they were considering getting cable back. I'm personally fine without it. If we get it, cool. If we don't, that's fine too.

8. I never listen to the radio - the last time I listened was 3 decades ago |
|
in Detroit. every afternoon I listened to music from one of the universities. dj was a woman. was the first time I heard Oregon's music.
can't stand all the ads on radio, or golden oldies, politics, etc.
as a teen in the early 50's, outside Wash., D.C. late at nite I listened to a guy who went down to Brazil and brought back jazz records to play for us. I was supposed to be asleep.
