Look at the poll results by TIME - they are DESPERATE
Edited on Wed May-02-07 07:35 PM by debbierlus
Another thread had the link to this Time magazine poll, but my thread isn't about taking the poll, it is about how the REPUKILICAN media giant is distorting the poll results.

Go to the poll, take it, & look at the results!!!!

http://www.time.com/time/index.html?xid=site-cnn-navtop

Notice the RESULTS are highlighted in BLUE for Bush & RED for the Democrats. Since everyone associates Republcans with red & Bush with Blue, they are utilizing a pathetic trick to make the numbers look BETTER for Bush. Man, how DESPERATE can they be!!!

Oh, & I just noticed ANOTHER cute little trick. They posted the picture of the DEMS next to the results with the blue highlight number (BUSH's) number being higher. Omg. They are basically SCREAMING it is the dems fault through their little not so subliminal messages.

This is just one of a ZILLION examples the media manipulates people with subtle & NOT so subtle messages trying to hide the GIANT SIZED ELEPHANT in the room. News flash to time. WE SEE IT!

PATHETIC

7. NY Votes
The NY votes are obviously being falsified, perhaps by whoever is running the web site.

3. You do realize this was NOT the way it was shown earlier today!
I voted in that stupid poll when there were only 400+ votes and the results were shown as you would assume with blue being Dem and Red being Pub.

I really don't think Rover deserves as much credit as you are all giving him. This sounds like Time management to me much more than the Rover. I happen to think HIS luck has run out!

6. I don't read it that way
I read the blue states are the states with the most votes against bush and the red states are the ones with the most votes for bush.

It only goes to reason that if against bush, that would be for the congressional dems, thus the states are blue and vice-a-versa.

That's how I read it.

12. I agree...I think the inclusion of the map changes things
There would be equal complaints if Bush was represented in red, making it look like the map was mostly red, and thereby implying large scale agreement with the Republican line. As it stands, the map is mostly blue, indicated large scale agreement with the Democratic line.

The problem has to do with the two different forms of visual representation, combined with the negative phrasing of the question. Since the question asks "who is to blame," it would seem that they HAD to paint the Dems in red, since the people who think the Dems are to blame would be "red" people, and vice versa.

The entire question, graphic, and organization is a muddle, and ultimately confusing.

14. I think it is pretty simple
Who is more to blame for the impasse over an Iraq war funding bill?

Bush 64%
Congressional Dems 36%

Bush is to blame, he vetoed the bill, so it makes sense.

I think New Yorkers don't like takin polls :silly:

13. I agree
The Blue shows the votes blaming Bush for the impasse, so I think some are totally misreading it. But I also said 'huh?' at the red NY. No way that many NYers blame the Dems..must be a lot of freepers checking in from the Big Apple..everyone else probably is doing something more important with their time.

11. New York State
The results for New York are either transposed or they are getting seriously freeped. Earlier results had New York blaming Bush 70% to 30%.

15. You're right. No other state has close to the votes NY has.......
This would make sense for the smaller or less populated states, but not with the large or more populated states, like New York.

It does look too stange to be right.

18. Hopefully, that's what the map on Election Night 2008 will look like.
Because I think that means we would win. 44 states to 6?

Yeah, I'd say that's a win.
