Tea Party Strategy Letter Leaked

http://my.auburnjournal.com/detail/146080.html

My luck this week has been astounding!

As I sat in the Starbucks on the corner of Sierra College and Rocklin Road this morning, waiting for my son to arrive for an early morning chat, I found this "Strategy Letter" just laying there next to an empty cup of tea that had two bags in it.

-----------

Dear Tea Party Activists,

We have reached a level of attention not seen in American Politics since the revolution itself. As big, massive government takes over our auto industry, our health care industry, our banking industry, we find ourselves joined together to stop them.

The two party system has become a tool of corporate, union, and international special interests. Huge sums are contributed to the elected officials, and regardless of party they appear to have one thing in common... more government control over our lives.

Lets face it, government is a necessity, but how much? Nobody is saying we do not need government, but many of us are saying we need to follow the constitution, and limit the scope and size of the federal government significantly.

The debt is crushing our economy and our children's future. The solution to economic hard times, is for the government to get out of the way, rather than increase taxes and take on newer, bigger entitlements.

Beware of those who pretend to be helping you, but will put you into submission once they achieve power.

The Tea Party has an opportunity. Help conservatives get elected. Regardless of party affiliation, if they are conservative, help them. If they are liberal, look at who is running against them and help the most conservative win.

In the short term, the best we can hope for is a divided government. Divided government, is weaker than a united government. We have to break the one-party rule in Washington. This is our first priority, and our highest priority. Then, we need to pare out the most liberal members of each party so that over time, regardless of which party is in power, conservatives rule.

Best wishes to you all, and be sure to attend a rally on April 15th. The Tea Party is here to stay, not as an official party, but as a party of the people!

1. That cannot be a tea party letter.
It seems to be written in complete sentences without many spelling or grammatical errors. It is a fake!

2. Obvious corporate/GOP Astroturfing
Too much of it is spelled correctly and they've used punctuation.

3. How was that signed? Was it from an individual
Local to your area or some Big Muckity muck from a national chapter? (or maybe Washington DC?)

And I'd sure love to ask that individual how they plan on driving places, should the government stop paving roads. Might make it much harder to get to that coffee shop.

Or feeling okay about drinking water - no need to purify the stuff, or to stop large firms from polluting it.

8. Dear Tea Party Asshole Fool Idiots...
Edited on Sun Apr-04-10 08:43 PM by sendero
... your concern about 'big government' was the excuse used to deregulate our financial industry, an action that has led to the worst economic debacle since the Great Depression, and by the time it is over it will have probably taken its place as worst.

This debacle is the same one that has put our government in the untenable position of choosing whether to bail out these malefactors, the ones that would not have existed without your malignantly stupid philosophy, or risk a compelete collapse of the economy. Thanks a lot.

Additionally, George Bush was one of the most profligate spenders in recent times yet where were you? No where.

You people are transparent racist idiots.
