Tea Party: If you don't wear shoes 24/7, then you are a Muslim, just like Obama
Edited on Mon Apr-05-10 07:20 AM by ck4829
At a Tea Party meeting in Tennessee:

About 40 people came to the meeting. They cheered when the organizer, Vince DiCello, told a long-winded joke about a new metal called Pelosium, after Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ("its mass keeps getting heavier"). And they murmured in disapproval when he passed around a photograph of Obama with his shoes off -- evidence, DiCello said, that the president prays with Muslims but not Christians ("That's because he is a Muslim," one audience member called out).

That's right, according to the Tea Party, not wearing shoes for any amount of time means you've just converted to Islam.

4. My brother told me the teaparty train was coming to his town.
I suggested better pest control. Nashville is really a predominantly progressive city in a very conservative state. I think because it is more cosmopolitan, lots of artists and musicians as well as business owners from other parts of the country moved there.

I'm sure that meeting would have had more than 40 attendees if located in Chattanooga or Knoxville.

Baggers remove their shoes when they taunt Parkinson's victims, or leave them on?

19. Teabaggers shouldn't talk to much about the barefoot.
Most of them don't get their first pair of shoes until they have to go to school.

25. What really bothers me is if he was Muslim who cares? I am a Christian liberal. But it makes
me sick that these people are so entwined in religion that it matters in political terms. Real Christianity has very little in common with the fundie crazy nutball type that teabaggers seem to love. I bet if they met Jesus, they would yell epithets at him...saying he was dirty and a bum.
I wonder who they would hate more, a muslim or an atheist?
