"The Crumbling of America" On The History Channel
I know some people here are angry at The History Channel, but they are playing what might be a very interesting show. The channel is playing "The Crumbling of America". This show is discussing infastructure issues of The United States.

2. So why should I listen to this, when I found UFO week, and anti-Christ week, and..
Jesus week unacceptable?

Years ago, I complained that they were showing way to much of "Victory at Sea." But they were also showing series like "The Silk Road" and "Connections." But at least both those were history. Really, the history channel should change its name to the Mythology Channel.

5. It could be a timely and informative show
Do they go back beyond January 20, 2009 in their review of just why the infrastructure of the U.S. is crumbling? Or would the casual viewer get the impression that all these problems have cropped up in the last 15 months for some obscure reason?

6. Slightly
They do not go into detail in order to inform the viewer just how the system was under funded. However, they do discuss the fact that the system has been under funded. It was stated in the documentary that during the Eisenhower Administration the government spent about 42% of its money on infrastructure while presently the government is spending about less then 3% of its money on infrastructure. Other than that it just details the fact that there are problems with our infrastructure and that these problems need to be fixed.

9. It goes way back before 2009....this show is a MUST SEE!!!
I saved this show on my DVR and watched it later..WOW! It's
eye opening to say the least. I would encourage everyone to
watch it and spread the word about it because we are all
effected by it daily and need to bring this information to
light with government. Hurricane Katrina was just an example
of this crumbling problem and the Army Corps of Engineers
weren't to blame like most of us did. (me included)
They weren't given the appropriate money to fix the levies
that caused such destruction. And there are so many more
examples older and more recent than that. Please watch this
show and tell all your friends to watch it too. I highly
recommend it.

Blessings to you and your family~

8. This was a good program for most people to see because most don't get
how close to craps we really are.

Proof your government doesn't give a shit is that we have no works program rocking and rolling with this level of unemployment and desperate systemic need. If memory serves (I saw this several months or more ago)they said we need two trillion dollars in infrastructure investment JUST TO GET UP TO CODE, which ignores the mighty need to modernize. TWO TRILLION.

That's a lot of work that is critically necessary. The stimulus investment in this area is like bring a butter knife to a nuclear war.
