I am an American citizen who supports and speaks for the rights of the poor/middle/working classes of this country, while for the past 30 years you and the party you supported and voted for told them "I got mine, screw yourselves." Oh, and let me remind you that you are poor/middle/working class. You aren’t rich, you aren’t above sudden hardship and Horatio Alger is a myth.



I am an American citizen who doesn't cheerlead wasteful occupations for a bloodlust nationalist desire to see families getting shot like Swiss cheese in their streets. It’s amazing how you don’t want your tax dollars to help “them lazy (insert racial slur here)s” but are strangely silent about how badly the Military/Industrial Complex is ripping you off. Or is it? May I also remind you TP'ers all of a sudden "concerned" about the National Debt that 70% of the current tally was swiped up by three REPUBLICAN presidents. The most recent one whom you all voted for twice pissed away the Clinton surplus and doubled the previous amount. Oh, and that mostly went towards helping rich folks (i.e., not you) and killing American troops by choice. Classic.



I am an American citizen who wants the fairer tax structures of the Eisenhower and Nixon eras to return. Not that either one of these men were saints; Nixon far from it. Yet, the cost of living was far more affordable, wages were increased to match it, infrastructure expanded, factories remained in America, the economy wasn’t a casino where the house always won and the National Debt was manageable. Then your vaunted Saint Ronnie came along . . . the end. And you all continue to wonder why your small towns and cities are flecked with boarded-up storefronts, closed factories, closed schools and have unemployment queues half the size of Depression-era bread-lines. Colonel Mustard called – he said to “Get a Clue”.



I am an American citizen who understands that financial hardships, layoffs, accidents, grave illnesses and bad luck DO happen. Empathy doesn’t make you weak or a “Communist”. It makes you human. You may need such help someday. I don't WANT you to just die and get it over with, as some of you obviously want with people like me or those you don't like.



I am an American citizen who believes health care and education are human rights, not privileges. First of all; where, exactly, is the “gub-mint takeover” in this entire HCRB? Second, if any of you Tea Partiers would step away from your precious Faux News, build up some muscle and actually THINK, you would realize that maybe your valued sense of selfishness could be one of the best arguments FOR Universal Health Care and subsidized education.



I am an American citizen who believes a truly strong economy has the ability to employ EVERYONE, not just the heavily degreed and privileged. There are several compelling reasons why leaving large swaths of people “behind” doesn’t help you or anyone else; the greatest one is that it makes people like you less significant and economically unviable.



I am an American citizen who realizes that employing short-sighted, quick-fix solutions to solve complex and long-standing economic problems is a sure-fire route to long term failure. I’m also smart enough (based on visual and statistical evidence) to figure out that these so-called “economic solutions” ARE failures, and defending them would come off as sheer lunacy.



I am an American citizen, JUST like you are.
