MSNBC breaking... Kansas City Courthouse evacuated after bomb threat.
Edited on Mon Apr-05-10 10:27 AM by Joanne98

A bomb scare closed the U.S. District Courthouse in downtown Kansas City this morning, sending at least some employees home for the day.

At midmorning, a Kansas City police spokesman said the department was asked at about 8:45 a.m. to investigate a soft-sided cooler left near a garage door on the building’s east side. It had a note attached saying the contents of the cooler would explode, police said. The police bomb robot was expected to evaluate the package before police determine what to do.

Don Ledford, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office, said workers in the building were instructed to evacuate and go home about 9:30 a.m.

Fire trucks, emergency vehicles and motorcycles officers blocked Oak Street and parked on other blocks to the north and east of the courthouse.

3. Well why not???
After the FBI is so ineffective the tea bags and radical republicans are getting away with anything and everything. Setting off bombs, just another Tim McVeigh wanna be....Hannity would be proud.

4. This is most likely in KCMO and not in KS.
Not sure where the federal courthouse is but downtown KC is in MO.

7. I don't think it has much of one. When you think of downtown in KC, it is in MO.
