Tiger Greeted Warmly At Masters....
If he was looking for a figurative hug — and that’s undoubtedly what Tiger Woods was doing Monday morning at Augusta National — he got it from Masters fans from the moment he stepped onto the first tee for a practice round with Fred Couples.

“We love you, Tiger!” a fan shouted.

Woods, usually not given to interactions with the gallery, nodded slightly and replied, “Thank you.”

There was a handshake with another fan, and Woods once answered a fan who yelled, “Great day to play golf, isn’t it, Tiger?”

“Yes, it is,” Woods said.

1. Doesn't say much about the fans with their morals.

2. Don't worry. There'll be plenty watching just to see him lose.
Feel better now? Or should they not allow him to play?

20. I think there is probably some middle ground
Probably just some quiet silence would have been appropriate. Maybe some polite applause when he tees off.

12. If 'morals' are so damned important to you
Why aren't you pushing for morality legislation? That's right, send Tiger or anyone who ever APPROVES of Tiger to JAIL.

Would that be appropriate?

10. Gasp! You're not serious?!
Good heavens, don't the personal trials and tribulations of multi-millionaires who play golf six days a week on perfectly maintained courses keep you up at night?! You're clearly not a "real" American! I'm tellin' Sarah Palin on you.

6. He's a freaking golfer, not a messiah.
The question is: can he win the tournament. Everything else is just crap.

Man cheats on wife: Film at 11!

How is that news?

the only thing he owes me is a good game of golf...

but all of a sudden, people want him to be the holder of some moral righteousness.... he's a golfer, not the freakin Pope-scandal-avoider...

21. +1 I am glad to see that he finally realized
Edited on Mon Apr-05-10 12:17 PM by goclark
that he had to speak to people.

He is not a Faamily Values leader --- however, the Pope is a different story.

I happen to be Christian and in my mind the Pope Needs to be FIRED IMMEDIATELY!

I certainly would not vote for Tiger as Husband,Father of the year but let the man play Golf!

17. It's news because the media makes this guy out to be a hero.
I'd rather hear from a talented sports "star" who doesn't cheat on his/her spouse.

14. no surprise, spoiled athletes are commonplace
and the general public don't care even if they rape woman, as long as they do their thing on the playing field and excite the fans.

I'm surprised he didn't receive a standing ovation!
Or a special award for courage as if it wasn't his fault.

Shows how morally bankrupt sports really are in this culture.

Tiger Woods is a good representative of the spoiled, grossly over paid, selfish and egotistical athletes of today.

30. He HAS to be a cash cow for the advertisers at the televised tournaments
...and I'd bet the ratings are as high as ever for this year's Masters, if not a record-breaker.

He's the only reason I watch golf at all. His trangressions are no one's business but his and his family's, and personally, I'm less disgusted on a relative scale than I am with "Big Ben" Roethisberger and his potentially criminal sex acts, or Sandra Bullock's Nazi-banging biker husband's taste in...women.

27. good. lets move on.
its none of our business. if you want to get on the moral wagon, good, up to you, don't watch him play don't buy his products, whatever, BUT SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY.

the media is still scraping at his wounds tho. fuckers. they are not pleased that Tiger hasn't got down on his knees and begged forgiveness of the great media for not being emotional enough or open enough or whatever by the yardsticks that some fuckfaced so called 'journalists' have marked out for him.

yes what he did was nasty, but that happens every 4 seconds in this part of the world. it's none of our business it's his personal business. If he was pulling a john edwards or a clinton, thats a totally different story.
