Finally!

One year and 3 months later of no permanent employment (but thankfully, some contract work) my husband called to say that he has an offer in hand from the place where he's been contracting to since last summer. It's not as good as what he had when he was laid off, but better than now and definitely better than nothing!

Hello to full health-care and life insurance again for this family of six! :bounce:


To those who have been an encouragement during this time, THANKS from the bottom of my heart. And to those who are still holding out for hope, my heart is with you that you will have your prayers answered as well.

BTW, dh's job is in manufacturing.

My husband just went back to work after having been laid off for 4+months. He's a union pipe-fitter, and just went from *nothing* to working 6/10's!

On a side note....my business has picked up as well.

Edited to add: But, but...make sure your husband says NOTHING about how welcome the health insurance will be. Wait until everything is a complete and done deal. Then fill out your forms and go get your health care taken care of, without comment.
