Need Help Changing a Teabaggers Sign

I was driving home today and we have a few of those street signs that say "Putting America to Work"-- talking about the stimulus road recoveries etc.

Well some teahadist made a huge sign to put in front of the sign that said "WASTING TAX $ ON SIGNS"

seriously, I doubt those sigs cost much and where were these TEABAGGERS when Bush lost billions of dollars in Iraq? Spent us into a trillion dollar defecit?

So at first I thought, I should take a walk with my kids to go take the sign, but then thought they would probably just put another one up. So I thought, maybe I should make my own sign. I could stick it by the sign or tape on top of their sign.

What would you put?

I was thinking of putting BUSH'S SALARY WAS A WASTE OF TAX DOLLARS

or something like REPUBLICANS DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE MONEY BUSH SPENT

Got any ideas?

1. You should put a side sign that says

"Then why the &*%$ are you posting one?"

2. Seriously, I'd just let that one go.

They kind of have a point, I prefer our tax dollars aren't spent propagandizing to us citizens.

Yes, it's a small amount of money. But the responses you proposed seem focused on my party vs. your party rather than any actual issue - more mean spirited and attacking people in your community rather than a stand against an actual issue.

6. Technically, they are job creating for someone - signs don't get painted

for free generally - it's one of FDR's things actually, most of the work done by WPA was highlighted by signage, and many buildings and other infrastructure completed by them later had plaques (bronze?) installed to not only keep people working, but to remind many future generations that we're all in this together.

5. In Tulsa...

We have a program called, "Up with Trees," where individuals and companies can donate money to have trees planted somewhere. I've often wished for the $6,000.00 so that I could donate under a made up name so that the sign in front of my group of trees would read, "Up with Trees - Donated By Why Are These Signs Made of Wood?"

I drove by again to leave my house and it says

WASTING OUR TAX $ ON STUPID SIGNS.

And it's made from wood, must be nailed on *sigh* this is right by my house so I will be stuck seeing it and thinking about teabaggers everytime.
