1. They market tax cuts, fiscal prowess, toughness, etc...
With nothing to show for it.

5. Well, those are the republicon 'claims'
and they did deliver on Tax Cuts for Fat Cats.

But their phony so-called 'conservative' fiscal prowess is BS -- their actual borrow-and-spend fiscal profligacy has tossed America's economy into the crapper for years to come. And everyone knows it, except for the bent-knee, bought-off corporate-republicon media.

3. Yeah, well they're ramping it up telling us that they'll gain 30+ seats in November...
with the help of the MSM of course.

Do you believe that? I don't.

14. Yeah not very talented at all...
I mean it's like they don't exist at all. The government has gone left all of a sudden. Instead of Wars on terror and drugs and brown people we have wars on poverty and racism, unions are flourishing, schools have all the money they need, the infrastructure is being rebuilt and new form of renewable energy are being invested in creating tons of jobs. War criminals have been prosecuted, torture is no longer the law of the land, DADT has been repealed, gays are now afforded all the rights straights are, a new single payer health care plan is in effect, it's a new dawn in America, people are working together to solve problems and advance the country and the entire human race to heights it has never seen before...
Yeah the right has no power at all.

21. I wish it didn't...
Thanks though.. we have got to get through this "things are going great" mentality. The standards we apply to ourselves are so low now as to not even be liberal thought anymore. Some of the stuff I have seen posted today does not give me hope for the future. I mean this is supposed to be DU! The Underground! The left of the left... If left wingers are talking about how great the TARP bailouts worked, and how the Republicans have no power and how that oil spill in the Great Barrier Reef was no big deal... man we sure are missing the point.

Enrichment for self, scorn the poor is the only true way to Heaven - so dig deep and give generously as the plate is passed, preacher needs a big house and we're gonna build a fine, humongous ass church

Mind boggling isn't it?

20. no, that was always msm/rw spin/terrible polling techniques
the question was always something like, do you "approve" of the president -- never of the policy on x, y, or z.
everyone knows people "rally 'round the flag" when a country is under attack, and shortly after 9/11, of course people are going to "approve" of the president.

ask a slightly different question and you would have gotten a different response, even back then. for instance, did anyone ask, "do you support the idea of a tax cut for the rich during a time of war?" that's admittedly biased in the other direction, but the point stands. the msm pushed a biased poll and they and the rw twisted it to support for their highly unpopular policies.

the msm didn't want to hear about any of that other polling. this vague "approval" concept was all they wanted or needed.

26. that was only immediately after 9/11
and the whole country was traumatized. imo, he actually performed well in those weeks just after the incident.

it was just the next 7 years that sucked royal ass. not too mention all the stuff we found out about, before, during and after 9/11 that made us question his abilities and agenda. I don't think most of us really "got it" until Moore's Farenheit 9/11 came out. slowly people came around, until even hard core republicans flipped on him (i personally didn't notice this until around 2008 or so. better late than never i guess).
