Hooker-gate. Are the Feds tapping ABC's phones? The new "Teardown"
Edited on Wed May-02-07 09:57 PM by autorank
Starting on 28 Sept 2006, Brian Ross and his ABC crew demolished the Republican Congressional majority by exposing the escapades of Cong. Foley. Documented in "Teardown: The Mainstream Media Turns on Bush on 11 Oct 2007 (Collins/"Scoop"), the Brian Ross team tore down the myth of Republican rectitude in about 12 days of Kamakazi news coverage.

What’s with the mainstream (corporate) media? George W. Bush had a free ride for six years.

It looked like nothing would catch and sustain corporate media’s attention.

Now, six years into the Bush regime we see a sudden reversal by the press. The networks and major daily papers are locked on to a huge scandal and they won’t give up.

Now Ross has "Hooker-gate" in the form of

ABC's Brian Ross has DC "escort service"
provider Palfrey's "little black book."

NOW ABC's ROSS REPORTS THAT A FEDERAL INSIDER SAYS THAT THEIR PHONES
ARE TAPPED BY THE FEDS TO FIND OUT "THE JOHN'S LIST FOR FRIDAY'S SPECIAL.

On May 2nd Ross reported, "ABC News has made contact with an extensive list of men traced to phone records of Palfrey's escort service business."

On the 15th, Ross reports,

Federal Source to ABC News: We Know Who You're Calling
May 15, 2006 10:33 AM

Brian Ross and Richard Esposito Report:

A senior federal law enforcement official tells ABC News the government is tracking the phone numbers we (Brian Ross and Richard Esposito) call in an effort to root out confidential sources.

"It's time for you to get some new cell phones, quick,"the source told us in an in-person conversation.

ABC News does not know how the government determined who we are calling, or whether our phone records were provided to the government as part of the recently-disclosed NSA collection of domestic phone calls.

Other sources have told us that phone calls and contacts by reporters for ABC News, along with the New York Times and the Washington Post, are being examined as part of a widespread CIA leak investigation.

-----------------------------------

When the Feds have to tap the phones of the corporate media, the story must be more awful than anything we're aware of.

Here's all you need to know if this is another teardown. This is ABC's "Blotter" web site, that of Brian Ross, today. Let the teardown begin. IMPEACHMENT NOW!

56. the phone companies do not give up anything, It's just that
during the Clinton administration (1994) CALEA was passed. This gave the Justice Dept a permanent tap on all the wireline and wireless switches in the good ol' USA. It was supposed to be with a warrant, but I don't think this administration requires a warrant. The Justice dept police's the equipment themselves.

Six years into an administration is hunting season on presidents. High time? Way, way past. The media will never regain their credibility - with me, anyway. Brian Ross is an excellent journalist, but ABCNews is not a great source of unbiased news coverage.

He buried Foley and the House Republicans. His theme, hypocracy.

I heard Bill Press saying he couldn't go for this scandal because of his defense of Clinton
during Monica gate. I think Press is a good guy but he's off on this. It's not about
consensual (although terribly ill advised) whatever; it's about these

holier than thou hypocrites

who've screwed up the world and claim some special relationship to the Diety.

It's about their fat asses carted around at OUR expense in order to violate the public trust.

It's about the tweaking preacher in Colorado who railed against gays while he was going to Denver to get his ashes hauled.

It's about the nihilists fiddling around while they're destroying the world.

If ABC gets stopped, there's every other news organizations that could use those records.

You better believe those with power at the top will use it to protect themselves from disclosure, even if that means breaking the law to do it.

name.

Since this was a raid instigated by the psycho's regime SUPPOSEDLY to 'crack down on Prostitution', I first thought they must know there's some DEMOCRATS in that little black book? The wiretaps must be to get those names. They wouldn't have raided her had they known they were all repuke Johns, would they? Unless their plan is to BLACKMAIL ALL members of Congress and all the NEWS people in the book?

If I were Ross, I would buy 30 different phones and use a different one each day. This is unfreakin'believable! Does anyone in this regime ever SLEEP or do they spend every waking moment trying to think of ways to break laws?*&^% sheesh. It never ends!

23. I think you missed it by a year
The "Teardown" article was published in 2006, not 2007. The May 15th, 2006 article was in reference to Brian Ross investigating the Foley scandal. You're posting articles that are over a year old. These articles aren't about the government listening in on Brian Ross & the "DC Madam" scandal. Although it's a great possibility that the Bush crime family is spying on Brian Ross again, let's not confuse the two events.

29. The "Teardown" article is about Ross's previous work and relevant.
I'm not publishing articles over a year old, I'm referencing the article because I believe it's predictive of current events, that's the tie in. What's the confusion?

The concept of a "teardown" was relevant in 2006 when it was happening, it's relevant now, and it will be relevant in the future.

Edited on Thu May-03-07 06:17 AM by leveymg
The use of "Honey traps" and blackmail are the oldest dirty trick that unite the first and the second oldest professions - prostitution and spying.

Not surprisingly, the MSM is focusing on the prostitution side of the story, and virtually ignoring this part:

Other sources have told us that phone calls and contacts by reporters for ABC News, along with the New York Times and the Washington Post, are being examined as part of a widespread CIA leak investigation.

MZM has been tied to several major scandals: a large-scale GOP influence peddling scandal; falsification of Iraq WMD intelligence; domestic spying; and now the CIA prostitution scandal. What does this all mean?

The Bush-Cheney Administration is pulling out the stops to prevent those in law enforcement and intelligence who have connected the dots from sharing what they know with the public --the White House and GOP are involved in a major espionage, dirty tricks, and political influence buying scheme that involves one or more foreign powers.

whether they are actively listening or not depends on only how interested they are in you at the moment. Or at least, don't these 'talking heads' ever listen to the Talking Heads?

The kind of "taps" the NSA has put in enable listening, filtering, recording any and all phone conversations and internet communications.

Decades after we learned that a paranoid Exec branch and its agencies would routinely deploy e-lint surveillance against the Democratic Party and monitor journalists, and a couple of years after learning that this Executive thinks nothing of spying on Americans, bugging the United Nations, or kidnapping and torturing foreign nationals and even US citizens detained without charges, these bozos at ABC can still act surprised that the Bushies may be evesdropping on their cell phone conversations... it's truly mind boggling.
