Is some option like the doctor has a right to free speech regardless of whether or not we agree with his views. Now I don't personally think it is professional for him to impose that view on others and I do think the Republicans are acting like sore losers, but the lousy poll totally ignores the First Amendment angle

If he wants to show his true (greedy, small-minded) colors, let him. If my doctor felt that way, I'd be glad to know about it so I could avoid him. Any doctor who doesn't give a rat's ass about the uninsured and under-insured shouldn't even be in the field. By the way, I had a doctor who was spouting BS about Obama's health care plan, so I went to Open Secrets and found new doctors, doctors who support Democrats. It wasn't hard, there are plenty of them.
