NBC Pentagon correspondent Jim Mikalawhatever says the Pentagon investigation found that the Rules of Engagement were followed and the case is closed.

On T-vee so no link.

So, that is that.

1. Even if you have video...
...of atrocities or corruption...

...that video will be edited by the corporate-, government-controlled media. They
will downplay it into a non-story.

...Even if the video is so damning, the government will stonewall, obfuscate or set
up a rigged, fake, pseudo-outraged committee that will delay and then end up finding
nothing significant.

...Even if you manage to find a government committee that goes give a damn, there are too
many neocon holdovers at Justice, the CIA, the Pentagon or other high-level government
organizations, who will bribe or threaten the President and other elected officials into
shutting up and moving along.

I never get excited about anything like this--because there really is no hope until the
American people decide that enough is enough. Our government is broke. The criminals
who committed these crimes are also in charge.

2. Shuster wouldn't have let that slide..
But alas, he's on suspension.

MSNBC has been shut off in my home. I'll still watch KO and Rachel, but that's it. They have lost a loyal viewer.

4. Yeah, I stopped watching teevee news in December. I just happened to
be changing channels and caught sight of the Wikileaks vid on my way past MSNBC and stopped to see how they were handling it. And they were handling it just as I suspected.

I do watch some of Ratigan, Olbermann, and Rachel but I try to watch them on the MSNBC website.

The rest of it...meh. Especially Morning Joke. I hate that shoefaced dope with a white-hot passion.

5. "We thoroughly examined our actions and exonerated ourselves"
That's good enough for some people. Not for me.

6. I've been monitoring MSNBC since I made the OP. They are in full-blown
damage-control mode. Got Gen. McCaffrey on right now justifying the actions of murdering innocent Iraqis in the video.

8. I can't believe that attacking the van that was only trying to help a wounded man
is somehow covered by the Rules of Engagement

and if it is then those rules need to be changed

10. The Pentagon investigated its own Petangon Pundit
Propaganda Program many many months ago and exonerated itself for that, too. Case closed
