Help me compile a list of Dems vs Gops who are musicians
I'm not getting a useful enough source off Google.

C & W is full of Republicans but that seems to be the only field they are found regularly.
Think Toby Keith is a slow learner when it comes to the GOP.

Lionel Hampton was much put down for endorsing Nixon. As well he should have been.

So fill in the blanks for me. Both Democrats and not

Thanks in advance.

3. What is it you are really looking for here?
If you like the music, why do you care about the politics? Musicians have the same credibility as actors (zero) when it comes to politics.

11. Thank you this was a help

I wanted to see what kind of genre of music most associated with the two party's.

Codeine's response was so far off base that I don't know where to start. Hers was about as helpful as a dry swimming pool.

I'm a serious musician. Had a neat discussion with one of my music directors Sunday about political matters. Few if any musicians I know hold a neutral or uninvolved feeling for politics.

For Codeine to say that musicians are clueless or live in some world other than our own is about as prejudiced a remark as can be made.

I suspect that maybe her former boyfriend is musician AND dumped her for her kid sister.

9. What does it matter?
Musicians are very often folks so utterly out of touch with the real world that their political views are less than inconsequential. And those views they do hold are not often well thought out and seem to be as much a fashion accessory as an actual ideological position.

14. Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam are notorious liberals.
Edited on Wed Apr-07-10 02:17 AM by 4lbs
Vedder slammed Bush like crazy.

In the 1990s, during one of their concerts, Vedder took out a marker pen and wrote down "PRO-CHOICE" on his arm.
