YOUNG EAGLES=WORTHLESS SCUM, GLAD THEY'RE MISUSING GOP DONOR $, HOPE CHRISTIAN DONORS APPRECIATE HOW THEIR $ IS SPENT:

Young GOP Donor: 'I Believe In A Purpose Driven Life ... If Life's Purpose Is Backgammon And Tennis'
Zachary Roth | April 6, 2010, 12:46PM

"My ancestors, actually, weren't on the Mayflower. They sent the servants over first to get the cottage ready."

Haw haw haw haw haw! That's from the Facebook page of J. Roby Penn IV, the 29-year-old oil-and-gas heir who serves as the mid-Atlantic director of the RNC's Young Eagles program.
Also: "I believe in a purpose driven life... if life's purpose is backgammon and tennis."

And: "If you don't have an oil well, get one."

The Young Eagles, as you know, have helped throw the RNC into crisis after their trip to one of LA's top bondage-themed nightclubs. But given the man-of-leisure persona cultivated by Penn, maybe it's not so surprising that the group is used to being entertained in style.

BTW CHECK OUT THE PHOTO AT THE LINK-John Roby Penn IV (right), with Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, at an event in Washington, D.C. First off, Penn is 29 although appears in his 40's and the dude he's palling around with-just another GOP crook:

MicroStrategy Chairman Accused of Fraud by S.E.C.
By FLOYD NORRIS
Published: December 15, 2000

Michael J. Saylor, the chairman of MicroStrategy, a software company whose share price soared and then collapsed after the company was forced to restate its books and erase all the profits it had reported, was accused of fraud yesterday by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mr. Saylor settled the civil charges that were filed in federal court in Washington without admitting or denying them and agreed to pay $8.3 million to shareholders and a $350,000 penalty to the S.E.C.

Lavish Lifestyle Of One Young Eagle

The Young Eagles have been in the spotlight lately, after it emerged that the RNC picked up the tab for a trip taken by the group to a bondage-themed L.A. club. Other planned events, including a Texas bird hunt, a trip to the Indy 500 , a bull-riding event, and a jaunt to London to hobnob with Tory party leader David Cameron, are now said to be up in the air.

But just who are the Young Eagles? We showed you the Facebook page of the group's mid-Atlantic director, J. Roby Penn IV, which includes quotes like: "I believe in a purpose driven life... if life's purpose is backgammon and tennis," and "If you don't have an oil well, get one." And here's a bit more to fill out the picture of the 29-year old oil-and-gas heir.

Penn recently played host at his swank Watergate apartment to a Young Eagles cocktail event, reports one Washington gossip blog (which asks whether the Young Eagles are "bringing sexy back to the GOP" -- and that was before the bondage club news came out). You can see pictures of Penn's lavishly decorated apartment -- which also serves as the address for the Penn Foundation and Trusts -- here.

"Penn's lavishly decorated apartment -- which also serves as the address for the Penn Foundation and Trusts" Does that mean he is writing off his apartment? Is that legal?

1. Bragging about one's wealth is very low-class. I am SOOOO glad we
have the internet - his lack of class will outlive him.

5. Agreed
It's bad manners and in poor taste to flaunt one's wealth and possessions, especially in these trying times.

18. Not sure about the Mayflower, but my family settled Jamestown.
The Brownings... specifically William Browning... came across on the Abigail and had John Browning, who was probably part of the Jamestown rebellion.

4. WOW his grandfather was Director of the Works Progress Administration under FDR:
John Roby Penn, Junior (1875-1958)
John Roby Penn, Junior was born in Reno, Pennslyvania on August 11, 1875 to John Roby and Clara Darnell Penn. He had two younger sisters, Miss Dorothy Penn and Miss Mary Margaret Penn- both of whom attended Mount Holyoke College. Following graduation from Amherst College in 1896, he took a position with the Ohio Oil Company of Findlay Ohio, an early part of Standard Oil of New Jersey. In 1917, he joined Midwest Refining Company as Vice President, its President Henry H. Blackmer was embroiled in the Tepot Dome Scandal in 1923. In 1919, Mr. Penn became President of Texas Pacific Coal and Oil Company, following its discovery of oil at Ranger, Texas. This discovery at No. 1 J. H. McCleskey opened the West Texas oil exploration boom. In 1923, Mr. Penn moved the TPC&O offices from New York City to Fort Worth, Texas. He served on the Fort Worth City Council, as a Director of Fort Worth National Bank, and as the Director of the Works Progress Administration under President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Mr. Penn twice served as President of TPC&O, 1919 – 1929 and 1931 – 1949.

7. This is why inheritances over $2 million per heir should be taxed
with a confiscatory rate over $10 million. Penn would be able to live without ever working on a wisely invested $2 million, but he'd be a whole lot less arrogant about it.

Punk.
