Massey has the judges and politicians in his pocket. Now that he can spend whatever he likes, via his company, on his right to televised "free speech", expect more carnage in the future.
Much more.

And it seemed like mid-shrub years, there was a story about how some of shrub's goons and their groupies intimidated one of the safety folks in that area and the guy ended up getting "fired." Seems like the guy was with OSHA, maybe, and couldn't believe that shrub and "dereg" would put people at risk. I wish I could remember the details.

money can buy. Ask Don Blankenship, he owns most of them. They will all be on the TV talking about the tragedy while lining their pockets with Massey cash. Welcome to the coal republic. I get so sick when I think of how hard these miners work to feed their families, knowing the risks they take because it is the only game in town. Until we have viable alternatives to employment in the mines and elect a state government not owned by Massey these kinds of disasters will keep happening.
