Understand this...it does not matter
if the pilots were right or wrong. I happen to think they were wrong, but that does not matter either.

What matters is the PERCEPTION in the civilian Muslim world, and that PERCEPTION will not be changed once someone views that video.

This spawns generations of hatred...and this is why we never should have gone in, and this is why we should repair what we can, then get the hell out.

1. I don't think Iraqis need to see this video to understand how atrocious
we are. They have lived it for 7 years. This is news for the Americans.

2. I'm not talking about only the Iraqis.
I'm talking about every Muslim in every nation.

3. Exactly.. we are finally getting a small peek at the truth..
And apparently some people are not prepared to deal with it. It's still "America! Fuck Yeah!".

4. Abu Ghraib told them all they needed to hear.
"Every time you bomb our lands
It might be time for you to ask
What will their kids be like?"

5. Wrong, it does matter. The reason why this type of shit happens is because of ambivalence
Being on the receiving end just makes it worse.

6. Welcome to the horrors of war
by the way this is not just about the Arab Street. Americans NEED to see this and realize that war is not nice and tidy.

That said, there is much I don't know about this, and I used to listen to people speak of actual warcrimes... so on a legal perspective, believe it or not the tape is not enough... but to the Arab street... they've seen this stuff before, over the last seven years. Americans on the other hand, not so much.

7. " a good day at war"
That is the phrase I heard on NPR.

8. The day nobody gets killed
on all sides... or injured in other ways...

:-)

Sadly I don't think we've seen any of those in the last oh seven years.
