10. I visisted there last week when there were DU problems. It's a neat thing to know when
that happens that it isn't just your own connection. :)

5. Signup requires admin approval
The last time I tried get in there I had to sign up again due to lost info, and no one ever responded to my signup request. I think I can get in now, have recovered my old login for Yahoo, maybe I can find out who is running the joint these days.

6. When I read your thread title I had a vague hope it was a new forum for all the Demotrolls who labor
under the mistaken idea that repeating fact-free right-wing swift-boater talking points to slur one of our candidates somehow helps the candidate they prefer.

We need a panic room to confine and isolate those nitwits; General Discussion: Politics has already become almost unreadable and we're still nine months away from the beginning of the caucuses and primaries. It's like the plague in "28 Days Later" - it will infect General Discussion sooner than you think.

7. I signed up a while back, but I find Yahoo chat to be cumbersome
and kind of boggy.. We used to have one in AIM, which was a lot of fun when DU went crazy..

anyone can start one, and then just invite right from the room, to anyone with AIM access..then create a shortcut and go anytime you want ..

If you got this route, you still want to have people PM you with their AIM name, so freeps don;t show up, but you can also ignore right there on the spot and block people if you want.

A lot of the oldies at DU probably rmember the AIM rooms.. It was a lot of fun and very fast paced, but like anything, it ran its course.:)

I liked it because I'm a dunce and cannot remember stuff like passwords & such, and having a desktop icon to just click & go, made it easy :)

9. Like you, I can never remember all of those passwords....
so Firefox does it for me. I'd be lost without it, really. The only ones I tell it not to remember are the ones for sensitive sites, like my banking.

8. The first rule of the DU panic room.....
is that we don't discuss the DU panic room.

You've been warned! ;)

11. Actually that's not true. The first rule of the DU Panic Room is...
DON'T PANIC.

Hmm... Or maybe it's PANIC! I can never keep it straight.

12. Yeah, well (paying attention here in Old Europe), that's fine: be prepared:
But, maybe the bottom line for DU (like those bottom lines of the home-grown "super-rich") should be a little more "offshore" (if that's possible in internet terms).

:all-seeing eye:
