I just paid my taxes... reluctantly. I don't want to have my money fund the death of innocent civilians in countries we occupy. WHY is my voice not important. Why do our Democratic leaders work so hard to appease the "pro-life" crowd, and I as a life long liberal have no one to speak for me except Dennis Kucinich.
It is time we had a tax payer shopping list. Let me decide where my last savings go.

suggestion on a newspaper blog. I told a guy that he could earmark his taxes to exclude use for abortion if I could earmark mine to exclude use for the military. He said OK! I told him he'd save pennies, if anything, and I'd save thousands. He said fine!
