Man who threatened Pelosi Giusti has been in trouble previously for making threats

Giusti has been in trouble previously for making threats. In 2004, he pleaded no contest in San Mateo County, just south of San Francisco, to a felony charge of making criminal threats and was sentenced to a year in jail and three years of supervised probation.

The 2004 arrest occurred on a commuter train after Giusti was kicked off for not paying his fare, Steve Wagstaffe, chief deputy district attorney for San Mateo County, said. Giusti became enraged, started screaming and threatened to kill the conductor, who called in the sheriff, Wagstaffe said.

A statement from Pelosi's spokesman Wednesday praised the efforts of law enforcement and said the House Speaker would have no further comment "at this time."

1. These are the type of people we should be afraid
o. The mentality distrubed. It does not take much for the likes of Fox News and Glen Beck, Rush, Palin and Bachmann to set these people of..I don't care what anybody says. These right wing enablers know exactly what they are doing. They hope the nuts go out and shoot Democrats. No two ways about it.

2. spent five years harassing a local church , custodian helped break the case
Man arrested for Pelosi threats called "angry"

The San Francisco man arrested Wednesday for allegedly threatening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over her support for health care reform spent five years harassing a local church - until its custodian helped break the case involving Pelosi, the church's lawyer said.

(snip)

He was linked to the Pelosi case with the help of members of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church on Geary Boulevard.

(snip)
Three weeks ago, Jones said, federal agents came to the church to see the custodian. They said his name was linked to a phone number used to make the calls to Pelosi. The custodian then recognized Giusti's voice on recorded calls and told the agents.

(snip)
A tall, hulking man who kept to himself, Giusti was not well known - or well liked - at the federally subsidized Marlton Manor where he has lived for more than a decade, said neighbor Rose Riggs.

"When he'd start with me about political stuff," she said, "I'd just back off."
