..."potential" terrorist. I'm going to make an assumption here, which may or may not be correct. But if our country had had a fully funded Air Marshal program, with one on every flight, could 9/11 have been avoided? I mean, could box cutters have competed against a gun, with one who was trained to use it?
One B-2 bomber costs 2.1 billion dollars. And that bomber has ZERO effect on the war on terrorism. I haven't done the costs comparisons, but I would imagine that 2.1 billion dollars would go a long way to put an Air Marshal on every flight.

BTW the Marshal program also uses other federal law enforcement officers to expand its numbers when needed, ICE for example.
