God Damn it Cartman...
Fucking South Park really tugged at my heart strings tonight.

Here I am working like a crazed man on tax returns with the TV on for back ground noise when I got sucked into the show.

I don't know, twelve straight hours of crunching numbers does that to you I guess.

Anyway, the season premier episode was about how face book use can get out of hand.

There was one lonely kid who couldn't interact with anyone in the real world. He was really thriving on Face Book.

Everything crashed in on the kid.

The whole thing was pretty sad.

But at the end, they switched and made the whole thing very heartwarming.

If you get a chance to see this episode it's really good.

The Cartman/Crammer parody was some of the best stuff they have done in a long time.

I don't know, maybe I'm just going through womenopause.

4. Crunching numbers at tax time makes me goofy, too
which is why I do it in stages, adding up all the deductible crap in January, collecting all the 1099s (six of the damned things this year) through the beginning of March, sitting down and using Turbo Tax to import all the crap from the financial companies, and finally gritting my teeth a week or so later and plugging all the numbers in and printing the bastard out.

Turbo Tax has a couple of glitches in it this year, so compare things like your tax rate with the one at the IRS and make sure it got your dependents right. It's been screwing up for a lot of people, myself included.

Still, South Park would be a welcome relief. Mine came on TCM and a showing of "Stage Door," my absolute favorite film for wisecracks.

7. I'm as independent as a hog on ice
so I do my own taxes, something that amuses the hell out of my financial advisor. I think I'm unique among his clients, the rest of whom have CPAs they push them off on.

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure it'll repeat, and it's probably even online already.
