Ghastly ghoulish gruesome ghost of ronald reagan to make appearance at tonight's repub debate.
Edited on Thu May-03-07 08:44 AM by Philosoraptor
They're holding the republican presidential debate tonight at the ronald reagan library of course, (it's hallowed ground don'tcha know), and they will have a contest as to who is the most like the beloved, deified saint.

Even nancy reagan herself is supposed to be there when ron's ghostly apparition appears, either descending down through the ceiling with a host of angels singing, or bursting up from the floor in flames and sulfurous fumes with maniacal laughter.

The candidates will of course be falling all over themselves to quote the saintly ron, particularly in regard to war and nationalism. Perhaps a goat will be sacrificed to Bael or Moloch to launch the festivities, jelly beans will be passed out to the audience, and clips of ronnie from his greatest movie moments will be shown on a gigantic screen.

Maybe even the world's oldest chimp, (not the president), Cheetah will pop by to reminisce about his time with ron during the making of "Bedtime for Bonzo". Old ladies, little girls, and grown congressmen will also weep as each reference is made to the late, great, grandfatherly actor turned politician.

Oh I just can't wait till his dearly departed presence is felt in the auditorium!

Dubya & Ron

1. How many Gipper quotes ya think they're dusting off for tonight?
Bill Maher had it exactly right--their man-love for him borders on gay.

3. I'd bet good money that they mention him at least 40 times.

4. Ten bucks says my home boy Jimmy Gilmore is the first to invoke
saint Ronny. We could get good and drunk by the first 1/2 hour if we all took shots everytime the sainted one was mentioned though.

6. The reagan's ghost drinking game!
I don't think there's enough booze in Vegas to play the game.

5. I think it is actually funny the way they are dragging that old guy
around with them. I haven't seen so many stories since he died. Hopefully the American people are awake enough to remember he was the first in a long line of puppets this goon squad has been using.

7. The reagan cult grows stronger with time.
And the bizarre legend gets exaggerated exponentially.

10. Their greatest fear is that the Reagan myth is dying over time.
That's why they have to trot out his corpse every so often and parade it around. With every passing year more and more of the electorate is replaced by people that aren't old enough to remember him and haven't been brainwashed into believing he was the second coming.

13. Isn't this how religions get started?
Someone is revered, then he dies, and over the next several generations his story is blown up and up and up until he is worshipped as a deity. Hey, it worked for Jesus. Why wouldn't it work for Ronald?

8. In a nod to green power
Workers are busy connecting a dynamo to Ronald Reagan's casket.

It's estimated that it will spin so fast while the Republican debate occurs that the entire LA region will not need other sources of electricity tonight.

However, Sierra Club representatives point out that the combined emissions of the 10 gasbags will contribute more to Global Warming than 20 coal fired 100 Megawatt power stations.

9. We're calling it the "mass debate". The energy pouring out of this circle jerk could solve
California's energy problems, and should put a happy face on all Repukes in attendance.
