Doesn't Brazille know that 'Sleezy is all about imagery? It's not what she does when she knows the cameras are following her; it's what she does when she doesn't know the cameras are around...

8. I formed an opinion of Brazile and I've been waiting for someone to
Edited on Thu May-03-07 09:26 AM by higher class
tell me I was wrong. I deplored her appearances on tv to supposedly defend/speak for/present the Democratic side of the issues. I thought it was so milquetoast that I cringed. I believe I am still forming opinions about her contributions to the running of the candidacy of Gore and whatever it was she did for Kerry. I think she does little for Dems and I want someone to prove I am wrong in the opinions I've formed and the dubious questions I hold.

Ironic - isn't it - Brazile's home was affected by Katrina quite dramatically. Then, think about one of our most famous tales about Mz Liar - she was off shoe or boot shopping at an expensive store in NY at the time when some representative from the WH should have been doing something? Ms Liar was about as interested in the plight of the victims of Katrina as I am interested in wild crocodile wrestling.

But here we have Brazile writing a puff piece on Ms Liar. And I'm not even talking aboutMz Liar's world critical lies resulting in death and destruction.

15. Bill RIchardson supported Gonzales longer than anyone else,
just because he is Hispanic. Gwen Ifil puts her honesty on hold whenever Rice is the topic, becuase they are such good friends. Everyone needs to care about what people DO, not about whether they belong to the same ethnic or racial group one belongs to--or to the same sex.

10. Hey, Donna....we remember
She balances her active career with devotion to her family, friends and community. And she makes time to stay in touch with her Southern roots.

Gee, I recall Condi going to Broadway plays and shoe shopping while a Southern city was flooding and American citizens were being abandoned to die on sidewalks and overpasses. Where was her zeal to stay in touch with her Southern roots? Where was her devotion to community?

Putting aside her criminal activity in lying to the American people and the congress about Iraq, having 9/11 occur on her watch as NSA and whatnot this cooing - lies, actually - about what a neat person Condi is nauseates me.

17. Add Brazille to the list - she was in charge of McAuliffe's Office of Voter Integrity
at the DNC that promised Dem voters and candidates that the 2002 and 2004 election process would be secured and the RNC's tactics of vote-suppression and vote stealing would be countered effectively throughout the 4 years they were charged with that duty.

Pure rhetoric - no action. The problem WORSENED in 2002 and 2004 because there were NO countering measures taken by the DNC throughout those 4 years.

Add Brazille to the team working to undermine Kerry in 2004:

Enemy within?

This talk by historian Douglas Brinkley occurred in April 2004:

http://www.depauw.edu/news/index.asp?id=13354

Whom does the biographer think his subject will pick as a running mate? Not Hillary Rodham Clinton. "There's really two different Democratic parties right now: there's the Clintons and Terry McAuliffe and the DNC and then there's the Kerry upstarts. John Kerry had one of the great advantages in life by being considered to get the nomination in December. He watched every Democrat in the country flee from him, and the Clintons really stick the knife in his back a bunch of times, so he's able to really see who was loyal to him and who wasn't. That's a very useful thing in life."

Did Carville Tip Bush Off to Kerry Strategy (Woodward)

By M.J. Rosenberg

I just came across a troubling incident that Bob Woodward reports in his new book. Very troubling.
On page 344, Woodward describes the doings at the White House in the early morning hours of Wednesday, the day after the '04 election.

Apparently, Kerry had decided not to concede. There were 250,000 outstanding ballots in Ohio.

So Kerry decides to fight. In fact, he considers going to Ohio to camp out with his voters until there is a recount. This is the last thing the White House needs, especially after Florida 2000.

So what happened?

James Carville gets on the phone with his wife, Mary Matalin, who is at the White House with Bush.

"Carville told her he had some inside news. The Kerry campaign was going to challenge the provisional ballots in Ohio -- perhaps up to 250,000 of them. 'I don't agree with it, Carville said. I'm just telling you that's what they're talking about.'

"Matalin went to Cheney to report...You better tell the President Cheney told her."

Matalin does, advising Bush that "somebody in authority needed to get in touch with J. Kenneth Blackwell, the Republican Secretary of State in Ohio who would be in charge of any challenge to the provisional votes." An SOS goes out to Blackwell.

But how to explain Newt and Pelosi other than they were both speakers of the house? I guess my point is that the people who were asked to do the write ups do not necessarily have to agree with the politics of the one they wrote about.

41. The corporate media gets away with CHOOSING our 'spokespeople' for us. I want Dean to work at
CHANGING that, but, I don't think he has the pull in the media to do it, considering that Carville, Begala, Brazille, McAuliffe, Estrich and Lanny Davis have literally been THE FACES and voices of the Dem party for the last 15 years and there is no chance that the networks will pull the Clinton team in favor of TRUE BLUE Dems working for ALL Democrats and Democratic candidates.
