If his serial adultery is a private affair between him and Elin and we are scolds or voyeurs for discussing it what's the point of this commercial? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIYejgkqd0o

But all this "Leave Tiger Alone" and "It's none of your business" diatribes ring hollow in light of this commercial.

It's not a crime to collect a paycheck.
Sports fans just want to see 'their' guy play well. Like bowling enthusiasts, who worship the way a pro can spin a ball and make it roll just so. Nothing else matters. The ball is all.

39. Why? You obviously don't watch much golf. |
|
If you notice, almost every year some old geezer has a good first round and jumps out near the front. They make a story out of it until the next day when he falls back to earth, then they find another story on the course.
I wouldn't call it "leading" on the first day. They have three more rounds to go.

What a friggin' revelation - an athlete / entertainer is of low moral character. That's some pretty outrageous stuff right there.
Are you a fan of Brad Pitt? Bill Clinton? Tom Hanks? The list goes on and on and on...
I personally just don't care who they sleep with or how they try to cover it up. I just enjoy watching them perform.

They didn't hold themselves out as family men while practicing serial adultery. It's the hypocrisy not the infidelity.

I don't care about his personal life any more than I care about the local Circle K clerk's life.
Tiger has been doing what he has been doing longer than Manning, plus he was voted on by sportswriters as athlete as a decade.
Anyways Manning may have never cheated but him and the University of Tennessee settled a sexual harassment lawsuit with an assistant athletic trainer who accused Manning of dropping his pants while she went down to examine his foot. Woods has yet to settle or lose any sexual harassment lawsuits so I wouldn't bring up Manning as some kind of example while attacking Woods character. I also admire the way Peyton plays football and I have no problems saying he'll likely go down as the greatest QB ever just like Tiger will when it comes to golf.

The more you moan and groan, the more surreal it gets. Thread after thread.
I didn't care as much before, but the more I hear people moan and groan about Tiger, as though he committed a crime, the more I hope he kicks ass.
I think you're enjoying your pain too. If you want more misery to groan about, turn to the golf channel and watch Tiger's interview after the round. Whoooeee I'd like to be in the room watching you watch that. LOL
