Folks, Greg Giusti committed a crime that had NOTHING to do with his looks.

NOTHING.

Our culture no longer judges physical unattractiveness as the Mark of Cain.

In addition, Mr. Giusti is reported to have had long-standing mental illness that was kindled to action by right-wing media. Not that it makes his behavior any more tolerable; it just removes his personal appearance that much more surely from his behavior.

Leave the looks-based name calling in the schoolyard, where the Principal can give it a good talking-to and keep it after school until it learns some manners.

I think it's therapeutic (demystifying?) to be able to have faces to go with the stories that consumed and worried us big when they happened and we have a right to see who these who these people were that were terrorizing our gov't officials. And that's what we called them when it was happening-- terrorists. But we're talking about ill people here and yes, physical appearances are immaterial to the actions, lucid or not.
