Michelle Bachmann: Tea Party and GOP Are "Merging"
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) rejected the idea that there was animosity between the Tea Party movement and the GOP in an interview on CNN Thursday, and instead said that the two sides were on the verge of coming together under a single mantle.

"Do the Republicans become tea partiers, do tea partiers become Republicans? How does this evolve?" CNN's Ali Velshi asked Bachmann on CNN's Newsroom Thursday.

"It's really merging into one single, solitary unit," Bachmann replied. "They have unified. A number of Tea Party groups from around the country are coming together, unifying under the umbrella of economic, fiscal conservatism because Americans, quite simply, feel like they're taxed enough already."

Those comments may not ring true to some conservative activists who have sought to distance themselves from the GOP. For example, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins (who has recently been critical of RNC spending missteps ) warned the GOP that "Republicans are not the only game in town," and said that the Tea Party was "taking on a life of its own."

Fucking LOL. So much for this Astroturf movement's attempts at being "independent."

4. Considering that the Tea-Party "movement" was started by
the Republican media apparatus (specifically, Fox "News"), this is hardly a surprise.

6. What utter bullshit.

The TeaKluxKlan already identified themselves with the GOP. They are the crazies of the GOP's right.

So now they are going to go for the multinational product merger with the GOP to be a bigger farce...um force?

Utter bullshit.

7. The GOP, playing Tamora, swallows her own increase
Hark, villains! I will grind your bones to dust,
And with your blood and it I'll make a paste;
And of the paste a coffin I will rear,
And make two pasties of your shameful heads;
And bid that strumpet, your unhallowed dam,
Like to the earth, swallow her own increase.

9. So they'll be the party of No Tea?
Or would that be the No Tea Party party...

Yeah a few people gather for a "Tea Party" and it's "got a life of it's own". :rofl: Go ahead split the Republican party in two. Please.

15. I saw this coming since day 1....
Because the tea party and the GOP were always the same. If anyone ever doubted it, take a look at who runs and funds it--well known conservative pacs, conservative activists, Republican politicians and Faux news. Does that sound like an independent grassroots movement? Hell no it doesn't.

16. I'll drink to that. Now that it's officially official, time to let it rip.
The GOP is setting itself up for another failure by legitimizing the Bible-thumping, KKK faction of their party.

Bring it on. Tools.

22. More like a dog licking his own balls, with the GOP being the dog.
And the tea baggers being his nads.

There IS no distinction between the GOP and the teabaggers. They're the same animal. They're just the nads of the GOP, and that's why the rest of the GOP likes licking them.
