WTF?? Beck has picture of Orson Welles in his office? |
|
OMG... Keith just said along with a picture of Ronald Reagan and other sundry right-wingers, he has a picture of Orson Welles!! This just proves Beck is bat shit crazy.
Cip from Wikipedia re: Orson Welles:
Welles was politically active from the beginning of his career. He remained a man of the left throughout his life, and always defined his political orientation as "progressive." He was a strong supporter of Franklin Roosevelt and the New Deal, and often spoke out on radio in support of progressive politics. In particular, he was an early and outspoken critic of American racism and the practice of segregation. He campaigned heavily for Roosevelt in the 1944 election. For several years, he wrote a newspaper column on political issues and briefly toyed with running for office. In 1970, Welles narrated (but did not write) a satirical political record on the administration of President Richard Nixon entitled The Begatting of the President.

8. Orson Welles was a friend of the Communists... |
|
Orson Welles was a friend of Marxism.
He performed the play "The Cradel Will Rock" by Bertolt Brecht during the WPA. The play was a classic work of "socialist realism" that got the national theatre program cancelled. He also made a classic film, Citizen Kane, that attacked Rupert Murdoch's 1940s equivalent, William Randolph Hearst.
Hmmm....
Based on Beckian logic, Beck is a communist, because he has a picture of a communist in his office... just like Obama is a member of the Weather Underground for having been on a board with 50 other people and Bill Ayers.
Man, if I had a radio-show... enough said...

I can see Beck looking up to either one of them, especially the latter.

Sort of like having a picture of Han Solo on your wall and not giving a crap about Harrison Ford.
