What Progressive is not energized to vote against Palin, Bachmann et ilk?
Who are these un-energized Progressives and Dems I keep reading about? Forget whether you are lukewarm about Dem leaders. What Progressive in their right mind is not glowing incandescent at the prospect of wiping up the floor with Palin, Bachmann, Beck, Limbaugh, Cheney, McConnell, and the whole Tea Party in the mid-terms? I want to see these people lose. I want them to lose big, bad, and humiliating.

If you can't vote for the Dems, then vote against the Republicans. Do it with a big smile on your face. Defeat and dismay the people who called John Lewis the "N-word," spit on Emanuel Cleaver, brought guns to anti-Obama rallies, called Barney Frank a "f*g," called in death threats to Democratic reps, killed an abortion doctor. Make them pay for sullying the political process with obstructive sabotage, bald-faced lies, and the toxic, galling, ever-increasing propaganda effluent from the sewer that is Fox News.

Make them sorry. Make them see the error of their ways. Make them lose.

I'm energized. I can't wait.

1. I don't think there will be a problem if Barracuda runs for nat'l office.
For sure she will evergize the Dems. The problem is 2010. If we can't somehow motivate the Dems in Nov. we really will lose a lot of seats in the H&S.

The dumbest question I've heard in a long time was yesterday when some reporter (I think) asked if Sarah & Michelle (Bachmann) would be the top of the Pub ticket in 2012! First I groaned very loudly but then I said YES! YES! That pair would lose all 50 States!!!

2. Non-presidential years are quirky.
Often, the masses don't get all that involved. People sweep in a new president, but after 2 years, they have lost interest. The die-hard partisans are the only ones who get all excited about off-year elections..

That's why so many presidents lose their majorities at the 2 year mark.

Media never allows new presidents to govern these days. Once the inauguration is over, they immediately set out to gin up interest in what the opposition has in mind for the next election.

Where there is no dissent, they manufacture it.:(

4. A progressive who doesn't want to be continually shat upon by the people he/she votes for?
Turning it around: What blue dog isn't energized to vote for Kucinich over Palin, Bachmann, and their ilk? Therefore we must elect Kucinich. (Or pick any other progressive.)

5. The comfortable utopians with money in the bank.
The same ones that wanted health care to fail.

7. We didn't want health care to fail - we wanted health care to at least have a chance
Instead, we got mandatory insurance with no guarantees of actually having access to care like people in civilized countries have.

10. +1. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Democrat to vote FOR for a change!
All this "not as bad as" and "lesser of two evils" BS is disgusting.

8. Sorry, I'm no longer voting for the least worst. I'm voting only for progressives.
If that hurts right-wing, corporate sell-outs who warmonger and get money from lobbyists, then TOO BAD.

I will not vote for another warmongering right-wing democrat. EVER!
