I REALLY hope Palin runs in 2012...
What more can we do to pimp her even more? I mean short of donating to her campaign.

1. I doubt there's anything we can do to affect her one way or the other...
She's part of the RW BS machine now... all those shiny new TeaBagger busses were purchased by some deep pockets, and those deep pockets are encouraging her continued stupidity as far as I can tell.

3. Palin is a shiny object that many use in different ways to their own advantage
But she's not running. You can take that one to the bank.

4. I really, really do not understand why people want to see more of her
...because the MSM would have a collective orgasm if she got the 2012 Republican nomination.

WHY does anyone want to see them slavishly hanging on every word of her ignorant, simpleminded, bigoted, fearmongering spew?

She's not fit to carry President Obama's shoes, much less run against him.

If you think that's his best chance to win safely, I consider that an offensive underestimation of his ability to win.

She needs to go the hell away before any more idiot Teabaggers get ideas about "reloading".

7. She is a very dangerous woman being groomed and dominated by
the rich and powerful corporations of this country. She wants to be be the first woman president of the US and her backers are leading her into the office.

11. That's how GWB was groomed...
he was chosen and molded by those who wished to use him to further their agendas. He was weak and stupid and easily manipulated - as long as he could see himself as a "wartime president" and someone you'd want to have a beer with, the guy who cleared brush and loved baseball. They bought him a pig farm to further the "everyman" image.

With Palin, the shell is there waiting to be filled with talking points, etc. The same kind of persona, stupid and egotistical. Instead of "wartime president" she yearns for "first woman president." She would be just as much of a disaster as GWB, one from which this nation may never recover.

Palin herself is not dangerous -- she's a joke. But the puppetmasters are not stupid and they are very dangerous.

12. I think Palin is too much of a loose cannon to be molded by anybody...
Look what happened when McCain's people tried to do just that. Those with the big bucks will try to purchase a candidate they can trust. That's not Palin.

I'm betting she will run for president, just not on the Republican ticket. And, if she does; it should be interesting to hear what the GOP candidates have to say about her. They're too afraid to say anything negative now.

13. With enough of a pay off, she might go along
Tawd would. If her rating on Fox crash she'll have no where else to go. I can't see her retiring to Wasilla now that she's seen the "lights."

22. Bush* Was A Genius Compared To Palin
Bush got what? a 1270 on his SAT. I'd bet the proverbial ranch she scored less than 1000.

16. I Really Think She's Unelectable- She Barry Goldwater Not Ronald Reagan
Plus she has a thin skin. For all his flaws Reagan's skin was rawhide and he was able to deflect all criticism much of which were legitimate with a smile.

And he was of average intelligence which makes him Albert Einstein compared to her.

I just don't see a path to the White House for her.

18. If America were collectively stupid enough to elect Palin,
would it really even matter at that point? America is dumb for sure, but has it achieved THAT magnitude of stupidity? I doubt she'd garner more than 10% to 12% of the vote; maybe going as high as 20% with the Diebold effect...but any more than that would be dumbfounding.

26. Maybe
but that would be 35% of the party backing. On a National level, in a general election, I would be astonished if she garnered ANY more than about 20% of the vote, even given the benefit of EVM manipulation.

14. I Fear A Palin Run
things can be controlled and a blathering idiot can become President, it happened in 2000 and 2004. What if she runs? What if they manage to rig and steal an election? I know what I will do. I will leave this country for good, because it will tell me there is no more room for hope. I can't even stand to hear her grating voice, never mind the ignorance she is spewing.

Leaving the country wouldn't help, nowhere would be safe. As I detailed http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x453718">here at length.

20. Sarah Palin’s Approval Rating Hits a New All Time Low
As Sarah Palin basks in both the cash of, and the love from the Tea Party, a new Washington Post poll reveals that her political popularity among the nation as a whole has never been lower. Conservative Republicans give her a 71% approval rating and tea partiers put her at 60%, but the nation as a whole gives her only a 37% approval rating, and a 55% disapproval rating.

The most striking number from the Washington Post poll was that only 17% of all Americans surveyed said that they held a strongly favorable view of the former Alaska governor. In contrast, 41% of respondents strongly disapproved of her. Palin’s rating with Independents mirrors her overall 37%-55% approval/disapproval rating. Her favorability rating gains one point with Independents to 38%, while her disapproval rating holds steady at 55%.

<snip> The half a term governor of Alaska is a niche brand whose appeal is limited to Republicans. It would be a disaster for the Republican Party if Sarah Palin was their presidential nominee in 2012. A Palin nomination would virtually ensure not only an Obama reelection, but also an expansion of the Democratic majorities in Congress. Never in modern American electoral history has there been a less popular politician as seriously discussed as a presidential candidate. Palin may have no chance of winning but that might not stop the GOP from nominating her.

24. Could be she's peaked. She's extremely polarizing and is a lot worse the
wear for all the media over-exposure.

The things that come out of her mouth are intemperate and ill-considered.

The media love her because she's so explosively stupid that she could say almost anything at any given moment and they want to be the specific medium on the air covering her when that happens.

And her politics aside, which are as abominable as they are shallow and mean-spirited, her husband is a jerk.
