3. Texting and driving: Face it, you're just not that important. |
|
Goes for 99% of cell phone use. You don't need to do it, and you're putting folks other than your precious little self-important self at risk.
Shut up and drive!

Who the hell would text while driving? I wouldn't text while driving any more than I would sleep while driving.

7. when people are on phones |
|
and/or texting while driving, and are then in an accident, should be required to publicly state the urgent messages that made the accident necessary for the other person's injuries or death.
If you continue to make phone calls while driving, you are being very selfish and careless whith other people's lives.

Oh they'll grab people and here and there, but the chances of getting caught virtually nill unless your stupid.
Not to mention you can't really tell the difference between texting and dialing from another vehicle.

22. That depends where you live, dialing is certainly illegal in some places. |
|
But legal or not, it's not very bright.
It's beyond me why anyone would argue against making texting while driving illegal.
Why the hell is it so important to send a text to someone while you're freaking driving? Can't you use hands free equipment and just talk? How often do you need to send a text to someone anyway?

|
Edited on Sun Apr-11-10 01:19 PM by yodoobo
You're making a common mistake.
You are confusing arguing FOR the behavior vs commenting on the effectiveness of the law against it.
Your post is full of good points that I agree with. They are just not relative to Illinois law.
