Obama's 'Empathetic' Supreme Court Strategy?

Is Obama following a strategy of appointing high caliber female judges with moderate records believing that their gender will provide them with the empathy that he feels is missing in the courts while their moderate views/records will enable to smooth confirmation?

Planning/hoping that they will vote further left than their records might have indicated, rather than further right that many here seem to fear?

was on Countdown Friday night. He said that the constant clamor from the right about "liberal activist judges" for the last 3 decades or so has forced liberals to go undercover in the judiciary, so Obama is basically going to have to guess which "moderate" will turn out to be liberal once they're on the Court.
