Edited on Sat Apr-10-10 09:56 AM by rsmith6621
....I want to ask when do we start putting the pressure on President Obama to rid Washington DC of the GOLDMAN SACHS influence.... After watching this movie Bill Clinton has lost a few notches of my respect...he was in there with them just as much...
There is no difference between a Democrat and a Republican...
We need Tim and Larry to leave..

1. "There is no difference between a Democrat and a Republican..". |
|
That's a bit hyperbolic, imho.
But, yeah, both parties are captives of big business , except the Democrats try to spread the wealth big business creates.

2. that is an excellent question |
|
One that we should all ask and try to answer.
And my answer is that we should starve the beast....And that won't be easy.

3. There are no differences that matter |
|
There are plenty of differences on petty partisan issues that the uneducated masses need to scream at each other about.

5. How About In The Area Of Civil Liberties? |

If it wasn't for Democrats poor defendants wouldn't have legal counsel, same sex would be illegal, and you could be thrown in the hoosegow for burning a flag. Those are issues worth screaming at other folks about.
Also, there would no safety net at all.

6. Just salacious enough to feed partisan bickering |
|
Just enough to keep you occupied instead of undermining their profits.
If it wasn't for the corrupt legal system the poor would have access without needing to beg for inferior representation. Which is the only one of those that isn't totally irrelevant.

7. Hillary Clinton sponsored the flag burning amendment. |
|
The Supreme Court affirmed the right to counsel. And I'm not clear on what you mean by same sex. Do you mean being gay or lesbian would be illegal or do you mean having sex with someone of the same gender would be illegal? If you mean the latter, the Supreme Court dealt with that, too.
Bill Clinton eviscerated the safety net for poor children; an action that conservatives cheer to this day.

4. You're absolutely right. Unfortunately it seems that we are a Nation |

of rabbits. Dangle a carrot in front of us and we blindly follow. Until a consciousness change in this regard and a real understanding that we must stand together, nothing will happen. We are divided because of greed and a moral decay. It has become so bad, that even Christ would be furious over what some have changed his beliefs to be. It has infiltrated the very core of this nation. Unless something happens soon, the country will go the way of Rome and other civilizations before it that no longer exist. We give or sell anything away for money, including our souls (this is for non atheists). We have been selling our children s futures for the here and now. A thought pattern of long term does not exist. I am age 55 now. At age 14 I knew then, that mankind was and is insane. One must get beyond the here and now and realize you take nothing with you. You only leave behind. What are we leaving behind?
