Elin Woods A 'Willing Participant' In Tiger Infidelity...

Jim Carrey keeps making news on Twitter days after announcing his split from Jenny McCarthy.

Friday afternoon Carrey tweeted a series of thoughts on Tiger Woods and wife Elin, whom Carrey asserts must have known about the infidelity..

I was wondering when someone would just say it already...

1. While a wife always suspects
most would rather simply not know for sure. Stretching that to "willing participant" could only come from a male who cheats.

2. I've always wondered...

I used to work for a serial cheater..everyone knew this guy, except his wife and she was even an attorney..we could never figure it out, but he was the boss and she owned half the company - he was the perfect family man on the weekend, and would talk about how he did family stuff on the weekend with the kids and went to church..but during the week, especially on the road, he'd act like a single man...

3. Warpy is right. The person being cheated on often blocks out
The clues and signs of infidelity. It's a natural response to protect one's self from the devastation they would experience if they acknowledged it.

I've often wondered if that's how children can be sexually abused by one parent and the other parent claims not to have noticed what seems to have been obvious signs.

7. well the same things that attracted the wife to him attracts the
other women. Women are clearly attracted to men that other women want. They also want them to commit themselves to them. So it's sort of a competing dynamic in relationships. I wouldn't call it a willing participant, but I do think it's a part of human nature. Sort of like women that cheat with a man, then finally end up married to them, then end up getting cheated on themselves. You have to think they see it coming, but not all sexual activity is "logical". If it wasn't people but other animals people were talking about they might call it part of the mating cycle... IDK I do know women tend to like men that can and have attracted other women and then really hope they commit to them. It is probably nothing negative about women (who we tend to label negatively in society as hos, sluts, or enablers, etc...). It is probably part of human nature. People are set up with poor expectation about human relationships and then become horribly disappointed when the very likely happens. If they weren't the Hollywood gossip pages would be rather boring :)

12. it has been known that men like to hook up with women that attract other men.
Edited on Sat Apr-10-10 12:07 PM by seabeyond
and it has been known that women are almost as likely to cheat as a man. the person that cheated with them then will go on to cheat on them.....

more to do with character than anything else.

that a majority of people of both gender chose not to cheat. so i would say not as hard to not cheat as some people like to make it out to be.

15. not sure that is true
from my understanding, a majority of both sexes have cheated at least once in a relationship based on surveys, which admittedly aren't 100% accurate.

16. 40% total have cheated, clear on most studies. 16-17% for females. 20% for males
that is what i have read. kinsley study and others that say 40% cheat.... adding two genders.

18. Your numbers are incorrect
It's just over 50% for men and just over 40% for women in later studies.

The lower figure for women reflects a lot of things: lack of opportunity for women ghettoized in suburbs, lack of time due to the demands of house, kids and jobs, and the lack of perceived attractiveness once they put on a few pounds after having kids or just have too many birthdays.

Otherwise, the figures would probably be closer.

The unfortunate thing is that so few cheaters marry each other.

have a lot to do with agenda. where do you get 50 for men and 40 for women? and even at that, to have a 10% difference that high of a number, close enough for me that women are awfully close with the cheating as men.

here is the poll on du.

i dont see any reason for people to lie, anymore than other studies. seems to be what i find in real life. but again... tis an unknown

on edit.... i so agree, too bad cheaters dont just marry each other, though i imagine a cheater is more likely to marry a fellow cheater. so probably mate more often than not....

but she either didn't see it or ignored it. But none of those makes her a "willing participant"--Tiger and his paramours are the ones who did that.

5. It's interesting to me
how often people don't follow their own advice.

For example, Vitter (the Senator who cheated with prostitutes) ran a commercial with his wife before the Senator's secret liasons were known. The wife was adamant she wouldn't put up with cheating. Well, she stayed with her man and he will most probably be re-elected by the fine people of my grandmother's home state.

Sure. Blame the woman.

I would not want him on a rape case jury.

10. If Jim Carrey says it it absolutely must be unwaveringly, unmistakably true. So glad he's cleared
the issue up for us.

Jimmy--clean up your own house before you go pissing around in others. Knowledge is NOT consent, asshole.
