Former Fox Host Helps CNN Promote Glenn Beck’s Anti-Global Warming Agenda
This begs the question, how low will CNN go? They're already scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Former Fox Host Helps CNN Promote Glenn Beck’s Anti-Global Warming Agenda

Last night, CNN’s right-wing pundit Glenn Beck — who has a history of making flagrantly false and offensive statements — aired a documentary on global warming entitled “Exposed: The Climate of Fear.” Beck concluded, “Al Gore’s version of climate change has no longer become science. It’s dogma. And if you question it, you are a heretic. … The debate is not over. I have a feeling it’s just beginning.”

Beck’s program mentioned Gore 32 times. As much as Beck would like to turn climate change into a personal attack, the scientific judgments of Gore are the consensus view of the world’s leading scientists. The IPCC — “history’s most definitive statement of scientific consensus on climate change” — recently released its main findings, stating global warming is “unequivocal” and human activity is the main driver, “very likely” causing most of the rise in temperatures since 1950.

This morning, CNN continued to help peddle Beck’s agenda, giving him a platform on its morning show to help spread his uninformed views. Host Kiran Chetry, formerly an anchor of Fox and Friends and recently hired by CNN, conducted an interview worthy of Fox News, tossing softballs and teeing up some of Beck’s false claims. A sampling of her questions:

1. What are they getting out of this, ignoring the obvious?
Why are they saying this is all baloney? Is it to protect certain industries-and if so, which ones? And why are these industries so insane to think it is better to DIE than to cut down on their profits?

4. $$$$$$$$$$$$$
and more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Record profits here and into the future for fossil fuel companies as fossil energy sources deplete provides for the hiring of legions of propagandists.

The whole purpose of this exercise is to prevent the addicts from kicking too soon within the peak earning years. That is, those years between when peak energy from current fossil sources occurs and the 20 or more years required to make a significant enough societal transformation to mitigate the demand driven high fossil fuel prices.

3. More dangerous than childish: DELUSIONAL.
It isn't infantile behavior that causes the corporate magnates to become this century's biggest mass-murderers...it's PARANOID DELUSION. The worst part of all: it's SELF-DELUSION.

Like so many others (including "The world is 5,000 years old" Fundamentalists) they have convinced themselves that, like a bizarro Jiminey Cricket, if they "...wish upon a star..." their dreams will come true.

I don't know how to fight that kind of crazy under this society. It's time for a different kind of politics.

6. They are using the old anti-evolutionary tactic of old
Global Warming isn't true because it hasn't been proven 125%. If there is one thing that some people say may sort kinda be "questionable" well then clearly the whole thing is false. In fact if God himself does not decree from on high what proof is there???

They dropped that defensive tactic in the evolution debate a couple of years ago and went on the offensive with "creationism" and then "intelligent design".

I was too brief in my first post.

7. I still say they are self-deluding, no matter what the motivation:
Money, Religion, Power...who cares?

I just want the satisfaction of knowing that a few of them bite the big one before me and my family.
