Like they used to identify themselves as Reagan voters? Wouldn't work. Everyone knows the people who voted for Bush/Cheney(twice), had to be a complete idiots. Bush will go down as one of the worst presidents in our history. No one wants to be associated with that. So Dick Armey and some other Republicans got some money together and gave these former Bush voters something they could congeal around and rally to. And so the teabaggers were born. Thats who they are. Washed up Bush voters who don't want to admit they voted for Bush ... twice. They are your basic Republican right wing morons.

2. Armey and his thugs are the ones with the gas card for the bus

They are the ones financing the entire thing.

So I would say they still exert quite a bit of control and call most of the shots. I have seen no evidence to the contrary.

Follow the money.

8. I love how younger people refer to themselves as Reagan voters
I was talking to someone at my school who was most likely not alive during Reagan's administration (or born at the tail end of it). He called himself a Reagan voter.
