1. Its all about the lawyers and private prisons
and to keep hemp off the market as there is no substitute for it. I have some hemp cloth shorts that I simply love.

4. NORML was founded in large part by defense lawyers
and the NORML Legal Committee, of which I have been a member for 15 years, is still a driving force in the organization. You'd be hard pressed to back up your claim that lawyers who are "profiting" from marijuana prohibition have been anywhere but at the forefront of the re-legalization movement.

19. Re-legalization. I like that....................
It says it all and it's true. I've been a re-legalization advocate since the Sixties. It's the stupidest law ever, even stupider than the Volsted Act. And yes, I DID inhale.

22. I didn't mean that to mean all lawyers
just a segment of them. We have some pretty damn good and honest lawyers around here but I wouldn't venture to say at what ratio. Drugs is business for some of them and you would be being dishonest with me if you didn't agree. Prisons for hire love them as they for the most part are non violent prisoners. wouldn't that be an honest statement too?

21. A prime example of how utterly phony our rep democracy is
For decades now, poll upon poll, study after study, reveals how people are all for legalization

12. Who ate all the pretzels?
I thought I saw a couple of bags of pretzels on the table. Well, maybe there are still some cheese-doodles. Wait. No. Aw, who ate all the cheese-doodles? Wait. There oughta be a sack of cornchips here. Somewhere. Oh, man, who ate all the cornchips ...

8. More so than private prisons, it's about the Addiction Industry - billions of dollars made off of
catering "treatments" of "diseases" - "diseases" that were once quite-rightly just regarded as vices.

20. Amen.
Especially those "treatments" that are court ordered.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

Nobody gives a shit about the drinker or the pot user...it's about the contracted "treatment agency" and the city/county lining their pockets.
