Imagine If It Was 2005, And Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards All Had Shows On MSNBC... |
|
Can you imagine how the media would have run stories about how the Democratic party is just the political arm of NBC? Yet, this is where we are now with Fox News, which employs Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, and Karl Rove as frequent paid contributors.
The corporate media, of course, tries to play up a false equivalency by spreading rumors about MSNBC hosts considering runs for political office, but in the case of Fox, it has three of the top GOP presidential contenders in 2012 on its payroll right now. This would be equivalent to Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards all being paid MSNBC contributors in 2005. Yet, this bias is once again largely ignored.

Those Republicans like David Frum who have made it clear that the RNC works for Faux now get fired and black balled.

4. Evidently, some Dems approached |

Ed Schultz about running for office. He wasn't even thinking about it. but he got a formal letter from the RNC demanding that he immediately quit his shows. Their hypocracy knows no bounds.

5. Exactly, That Is A Far Cry From What's Going On Fox News, Which Has Candidates ... |
|
On its payroll. Yet, CNN portrays what's going on MSNBC and Fox News as equivalent.

7. Once again: THE MEDIA IS NOT LIBERAL!!! |
|
The media is CORPORATE, not liberal. It is in business to make money in any way they can. And quality journalism is not a money making venture. The media loves conflict and sensationalism, and when they can, they create conflicts to dramatize events. They constantly throw the truth under the wheels of a moving bus so they can create a story which plays on the emotions of the masses.
There isn't much difference between the National Enquirer and CBS, NBC and ABC. If it bleeds, it leads...

8. And what would have happened if Gore funneled billions to his former company after he took office? |
|
Can you imagine the uproar from conservatives, and from the media, if Al Gore funneled hundreds of billions in no-bid contracts to the company where he was the CEO? Can you imagine what would have happened if Gore participated in the starting of a war based entirely on lies and then gave his former company huge contracts? The media would have went crazy with stories running 24/7 until Gore resigned. Spiro Agnew resigned as vice president for a relatively petty crime compared to what Dick Cheney did. By the way, Dick Cheney put all of Halliburton stock and options in a blind trust, but he still made huge profits from the war he started and the contracts he funneled to Halliburton after he became vice president.
And has anyone wondered why Dick Cheney was given the job as CEO of Halliburton? He had no experience in oil services. He had no experience as a CEO of a company. The only experience Cheney had in 'oil' was having his chauffeur pull his limo up to a full service pump at a gas station.
All Cheney had was government experience as secretary of defense, and then used his connections to get huge government contracts for Halliburton. Why wasn't there even a whisper of dissent from conservatives about Cheney's obvious conflict of interest? Yet conservatives praise everything about Cheney. In a sane world Cheney would have been thrown out of office and lived the rest of his life in disgrace, or preferably behind bars.
